We have a number of smaller players with low disposal numbers - Harding, Rodan, Hitchcock, Carr, Motlop. A couple of those guys really are lucky to be in the side. It'd be nice to see them repay the coach's faith.

Pearce is having a beauty.

When you think that we have
Logan
Harding
Nash
Davenport
Banner
Carr
Broadbent
Trengove
Hitchcock
underperforming Motlop
underperforming Westhoff

all in this side, it is extraordinary that we are within a goal at half-time.

More remarkably, very few of those guys (Logan, Banner, Broadbent) are actually contributing.

Speaks volumes for the combined efforts of the remaining better credentialed players.

Lost the midfield drive in the 2nd quarter... especially when the ball moves from the centre and players break... Cassisi, Cornes and Carr just don't have the leg speed to burst either in to space or follow/pressure breaking Bulldog players.

The Good
Pearce his showing REAL leadership but can't do it alone (and he SHOULD BE FLAMED in the dressing room for that 2 goal turn around). Chaplin is doing ok although fumbly. Salter is doing well except that unseen hold 80m away from play. Brogan is doing well (wouldn't mind seeing him drift forward). Schulz doing well. Broadbent, Banner and Rodan are serviceable. Cornes is ok. Stewart showing real guts.

The Bad
Cassisi is now almost the worst Captain in the league. Davenport is a fumble king. Ebert is 2nd fumble king. Motlop is no where near it (but nothing in his bump/shepard). Westhoff needs to get into it more. Wish Trengove could take the ball cleanly. Hitchcock is almost a cone.

But we're in trouble in the 2nd half... because... Brogan will tire and he has no real backup.

Not much change in terms of player positioning so far...

Motlop in the midfield.

Jackson still rucking, Salter still in the backline, Ebert still a marking forward. Though we probably don't have anyone else who can ruck or kick reliably out of defence.

Hitchy looks like he needs a rest. Rodan suprise suprise hardly touched it after having his good game last week. Will never be a consistent AFL player and if we didn't also have Harding, Logan and Thomas in the side he would be a depth player at best.

All the recycled players playing like recycled players.

We're in the game though.

Kane and Pearce our best so far. Schulz leading well. Chaplin... trying hard.

...oh dear ... Ebert.... that's two shanked shots on goal.

We are just not taking our opportunities or making the most of inside 50 entries and it is costing us BIG TIME.

Bulldogs by 16 points now.

When you consider those three players started this quarter in the centre square it says alot about the health of our list.

Daniel Cross overhead has been remarkable tonight.

At the other end, we had Westhoff slipping over, Logan spraying the footy.

This could turn out a blow-out - 8 goals to one since quarter time.

Symptomatic that when Kane got that last free kick in the centre-square, we had about four possessions before getting the footy inside our forward 50.

In contrast they got a centre-square free-kick to start the quarter and kicked a goal within 30secs.

Coaching, players............who the f**k instructs players to kick backwards and sideways from the middle of the centre-square??

And Westhoff misses from the goal line. Oh dear

Salter has just had his first touch since quarter time - almost 45 min without a possession!

Alarm bells ringing. Third week in a row where we have been in the game at half-time and have come out and beaten handsomely after halftime.

Our use of the football in our forward 50 is deplorable.

They are running the legs off us now.

28 points the difference in no time at all.

Motlop blazes ... out on the full ... bye bye Motlop (enjoy your last quarter of AFL football).

They go down and score a goal straight away. 5 goals down now ... GAME OVER.

Oh my. Here comes a reaming.

I dont think I can take this anymore.

It's all too predictable.

When you have next to no talent players like Logan, Harding, Nash, Carr, Davenport, the only thing you can do is demand that they play with intensity.

We had 22 tackles to half-time. That tells me we are not working anywhere near hard enough. There is no excuse for the lack of intensity.

Primus gas-bagged yet again about how we would come out and demand sustained effort. Once more we produced it for one whole quarter. We have less than ten players contributing tonight.

Even Salopek looks disinterested out there.
Players just going through the motions.

If we keep this under 80 points we will be doing well.
