Josh Hill has talent to burn... but sadly that's all he's done for the last couple of years. His first couple of years were outstanding, showing plenty of promise and had many a Bulldog supporters very excited.

Not sure what it's been, whether the constant berating from Eade, confidence, personal issues or what, but he's been very stagnant since. He has shown that he can play and understands a forward pocket role and even when adopted a half back/wingman role, he adapted very well... at the start.

Has a great leap, incredible hands for his size, disposal can be lazy but can also be very good when his confidence is up and while his reputation may say otherwise, is a good tackler. Quite a difficult forward matchup given his size/speed/leap.

He may well need a change of environment because sadly he's rotting at the Doggies. Would be a shame to see him go as I'm sure with the right people in his ears his stock would rise.

While he's never going to be the heavy framed aggressive player, he may be worth a punt for the right price.

Yeah GWS do have the same scheme.

Ok here is my best shot at explaining the players.

Horsley - Mid-sized inside and outside mid - can kick goals
T Lee - KP can play anywhere really, has come on this year
Gilligan - Speedy mid/forward in the Rioli mould
B Lee - Mid who has racked up some big numbers after coming through the ressies
Sweet - HB/Mid, highly toughted last year, was ok this year without being as good
Blee - KPD Don't know a lot about him though
Bristow - Inside mid, gets a lot of hard ball
Blackwell - Mid, Rolls-Royce midfielder, racks up huge numbers
Dellolio - Mid-sized forward who can crumb and take a grab, kicked a few goals this year
Broadhurst - Mid-sized forward won the Bernie Naylor medal, just checked his height which is 190cm which isn't too bad, seems shorter than that?
Hampson - Young small forward came into the Subi team late kicked a few goals in their Preliminary final
Butcher - Inside mid, 18s captain last year but didn't get picked up, played well in the WAFL this year
Hutchings -Inside mid, also captain of the 18s the year before, had one year at St Kilda, got delisted, came back and had a huge year in the WAFL

Hope that helps!

Believe we are interested in Rookie listing Gilligan

From The West Australian " Collingwood are interested in rebounding defender Lewis Stevenson , who is out of contract at West Coast . While one-time Richmond rookie Alroy Gilligan has rocketted back into AFL contention after his brilliant grand final appearance ."

WE will get screwed by Collingwood , I can see it now , hopefully a swap for L Davis is possible and would be an AFL friendly deal for WCE and Collingwood to do ..... It just wont happen but

IF this is true then I wouldn't want him on our list or anyone else who wants the throw the towel in after one tough year selection wise. Why he'd feel this way is beyond me tbh tho.

Bit different if you're 25 and trying to work out what you'll be doing with your life in a couple of years.

Wow, thanks heaps for that, much appreciated

Pretty sure Stevenson is contraced till the end of next year guys.

Why?

There was nothing about the length of his deal when he was promoted from the rookie list, and there was an article in the West yesterday suggesting he was in danger of not getting a new contract.

In my opinion Brown could be a very good player and could make CHB his if luck and form held up. However in saying that i have also said previously that of the players currently not best 22 he is the one we would get a very good trade for. If we truly are after O'meara or a quality mid then we will have to lose something. The club is reviewing the players now and we will know soon enough what they intend on doing. The club rates Brown highly, no doubt about that and i agree that unless he approaches Woosh, his name is not likely to be mentioned during trade week (Not by us anyhow). I agree with both sides of the discussion. While we do not have the stock to cover his loss if things go as bad as some have suggested, we also need pieces to improve that will very unlikely come out of this years draft.

The club has been very loyal of late and in return the players and staff have been loyal to the club. I'm sure they will do their homework and will have a plan.

I'm just going off RE's post here:

Agree with every thing you said.

Alroy has already been targeted for our rookie spot along with Kyle Horsley lets hope both last long enough to get.

I think Alroy will, doubt Kyle Horsley will probaly be a GWS pick up.

Stevenson's smother won the game for Claremont, Subi making there come back and he stole there momentmum, with that smother.

Stevenson contracted till 2012 so will stay on the list.

Weedon just needs to work on his tank this preseason.

Swift would be a interesting trade commodity, I think a lot of clubs would love him.

Still needs to get stronger for someone who is 192cm should weigh in the 90's kg's, like Mundy from Freo who is very similar size.

can someone fill me in why L Davis keeps getting brought up. wasnt he just about to retire last season? i know hes had a great year coming of half back but he is still old and about to retire. i'd just about bet that if he gets a premiership medal that will be curtains.

defies belief why people would think he is worth a swap for someone like a stevenson or stevens

if he does come home id like to see him go back to the WAFL for a year or so

Davis Manager reckons Leon Neon has more time left at AFL level and predicts he will stay at Collingwood anyway .

Flipper if Collingwood are interested in Stevenson we are likely to get nothing for him , ... so getting Leon for a season is better then nothing in my opinion . Leon is AA BP this season and could be handy to have at the club with Weedon , Stevens and Broome other Indigenous players that would benefit from Leon's influence .

If Stevenson goes to Collingwood I'd prefer to get Brad Dick in return. If he can get over his injury problems (a big if, I know) then he'd be the skillful crumbing goalsneak we need.

Plus his name is funny

I like Di...Brad but doubt we'd get him.

I'm pretty happy to let Stevenson loose, even without compensation.

Stevenson has alot of talent but isn't tough enough just yet. Don't want Davis because we need more youth in the team. We put Davis on the back flank than where does Smith end up ? Would rather getting Smith a year of AFL knowing he will be around for our next premiership.

From the senior list, Dalziell, C.Wilson, Neates and Stevenson (subject to contract length) are the ones apparently in the line of fire.

From the rookie list Houlihan and Oakley-Nichols appear as good as gone, others will probably be safe.

I reckon we won't get any more official delistings until after trade week, except for maybe the rookie listers.
