Have they taken it off the site?
They most certainly have.

I was sent an alert by iPhone APP as soon as it was posted and it's definitely been taken down now.

Basically said both were today advised they would not be offered new contracts beyond 2011.

Someone jumped the gun??

If Stevenson goes to Collingwood I'd prefer to get Brad Dick in return. If he can get over his injury problems (a big if, I know) then he'd be the skillful crumbing goalsneak we need.

Plus his name is funny
Put it this way, Brad Dick if he changes his, erm... out of football activities would probably be a decent fit. But at the moment we couldn't risk him in our team/culture.

From the senior list, Dalziell, C.Wilson, Neates and Stevenson (subject to contract length) are the ones apparently in the line of fire.

From the rookie list Houlihan and Oakley-Nichols appear as good as gone, others will probably be safe.

I reckon we won't get any more official delistings until after trade week, except for maybe the rookie listers.
Bones - Gone
Dalziell, Wilson and Stevenson Most likely Gone.

Neates- Highly Doubtful. Why ??? We only ever make the minimum required changes, so if we delist those 3 with Bones retiring a total of 4 senior list changes means Hams to be Upgraded and 3 picks in the National draft.
Plus Neates is highly regarded at the club and I think they know if he stays injury free could be very handy.
Plus with the uncertainty of Swift, Stevens, Sheppard and Ebert I cant see us making any real Midfield changes til after Trade week or at least til they have made their intentions clear, eg Stay or Go for more oppertunity.

Swift- Possible Brisbane trade We all know Voss Rates him Highly but I heard Freo may also be looking at him aswell. (Unlikely)
Ebert- Port have been asking the Question apparently, (Highly Doubtful thou).
Stevens- Rumours that the Dee's new Coach is a Fan and may have asked about him. (Most Likely but hope not) We may get the 2nd Compensation pick they recieved for Scully. Mid 1st round pick.
Sheppard- Read some where GWS may be interested (But i believe Highly Doubtful).

From the Rookie list:
JON- Gone
Houlihan - Gone
Hams- Upgraded
McGovern- Kept
Broome- Kept
Hamp- Kept

Would be a very handy pick to have up our sleeve. Don't want to lose Stevens because he will be a great player in the future but wouldn't be unhappy if this trade eventuated.

If we keep Wilson than he needs to play FF with Kennedy CHF. If Lynch or Kennedy gets injured who's going to fill in their spots Lycett ? Would rather keep Wilson and see what he has to offer.

The question is would Wilson want to stay? He would get offers from other clubs and a chance at a regular game so why would he want to stay 4th choice at the Eagles

SEN this morning reported we are heavily interested in Brent Macaffer and still into Leon Davis...

I am not dead against the idea of Leon

gives us that perfect foil for Hurn, yes he may only have 1/2 years left but if that could help push us towards a premiership i am all for it.

Obviously i wouldn't give up a huge amount though.

Don't believe that crap...SEN would have no idea what WCE trading thoughts are.

Macaffer, Who is he?
Why trade for L.D? He wouldn't make our defence better. Might have better skills than Waters, but Waters is much better defensivily and Leon is 30 plus :S

If we can get Leon cheap its a no brainer, we may well still be in premiership mode for the next two years until the vets retire and then depends how we transition after they leave.

What became crystal clear towards the end of the season was our need for an attacking/rebounding half back with speed and elite foot skills and the fact that we cannot have Waters and A Selwood in the same backline.

Wilson has had his card stamped for a while now, ever since he was banished from Eagles training back to South Freo for having a poor attitude. At the end of the day he is one dimensional forward that has nothing on Lycett or Darling.

Jaeger's highlights vid is up: http://www.afl.com.au/video/tabid/76/contentid/392339/jaeger+omeara+-+2011+highlights/default.aspx

We should be throwing the kitchen sink at this bloke.

The rest of the draft vids here as they come online: http://www.afl.com.au/development/tabid/11732/default.aspx

Collingwood were asking about lewis Stevenson this may just be what Collingwood has offerred in return

For mine McCaffer would replace / take Ebert's role and play similar to Darling - would make a big forward line and very negative

I'm no Brown fan but he's had an interrupted year and I don't think anyone sees Schofield as a genuine KPP, more a third tall who can pinch hit.

When Glass retires and E=MC² moves to full back, we'll need another KPD. Brown is the obvious CHB.
At last...some common sense.

The Brown hate is strange for a few reasons.
1) We don't exactly have an abundance of tall defenders
2) Trading your stock at its lowest value is silly
3) People were very quick to write off Schofield when Brown and Mackenzie kept him out of the team or even when Schofield was playing.
4) The fact Brown can't get a game is a testament to the form of Mackenzie and Schofield, who played well and cemented their spots while Brown was injured.

It seems like people are looking for trade bait where there is none.
