This is what I'm talkking about.
I can understand enjoying the moment but to suggest "improvement" like it's a badge of honour is really clutching at straws.
It is the counter to the people saying we have slid every season.

When you are rebuilding and blooding plenty of kids, winning 9 or 10 games is a fair result. It ain't a good result, we all hope and expect better, but it ain't as if we have been a bottom four battler at any stage.

People trot out W/L figures as 'evidence' that Bucks is no good, going 11-10-9 is supposedly rubbish when you are blooding kids! But going 9 to 9.5 is clutching at straws!!

And ultimately Buckley is again very aware of the circumstances. He knew that the expectation was we would make finals this year, and it is what the club was aiming for. If we were back in finals he would be assured of a contract extension, without it he leaves his own career in the hands of others - Eddie and the board.

They still may well decide to move in a different direction, which would be fair enough, and would get behind whoever they appoint.

My issue is with people who actually really believe that N.Buckley is somehow deliberately sabotaging the club for his own personal gain, which is just ridiculous.

Well we've finished 1/2 game better off than last season and yet 1/2 game less than 2015.

So basically we've remained stagnate for 3 seasons and will miss finals for a 4th consecutive year.

Hardly anything to bring one joy.

Was another failed season under Bucks

lol
just look at the prediction threads for the last 4 years.
there is some of your evidence.
Buckley expecting to make the finals this year and he got no where near it, another failure
Oh no. That means that 8 teams need new coaches. Where can we get so many coaches in such a short space of time. I'm so upset.

Yes it was, Google is your friend.
You do realise that N.Buckley doesn't decide who the Collingwood senior coach is? After his comments Eddie said that Buckley is too honest for his own good but in reality it was a nothing comment.

If Buckley wanted to assure he continued as Collingwood coach, finals would get it done.

Miss finals and his career hangs by a thread at the discretion of Eddie and the board, which is exactly how it has played out. If the board decide to keep him on that is their decision, a decision that Buckley doesn't have a say in.

Just a thought. Could Ed have said to Scotty Burns...."Go and get some experience with Clarko son, we'll have you back in 2-3 years"?

You realise I was just informing an opposition supporter not using that as an argument. I couldn't really care less what Buckley says, it doesn't sway my opinion on him as a coach either way.

The thing with Burns is he already had experience at another club...

12th to 13th is a failed season doesnt mean shit that we won extra half a game
It's long bow to draw either way to suggest we've gone backwards or forwards base on this anyways.

I agree he's not sabotaging the club deliberately or with intent yet we aren't progressing under his reign. This is obvious and can't be ignored.

I'm looking at everything in totality not on the back of 9 wins to 9.5- that's not improvement.
That's clutching at straws.

The club will ultimately decide on his future yet, people that think Nathan Buckley is bigger than Collingwood is my gripe.

He can decide to Quit so he can have a say that way

Yes we know you're happy with mediocrity
Silly remark.

You can do far better than that.

Back to preseason for you. Lift.

If Bucks gets another 2 years so be it,
Just from on tv he wanted to distance himself from the players when they celebrated the team song after the game.
Reminds me of the movie casino,
The FBI tried to being in lip readers.
We bringing in body language experts, to interpret every gust of wind ?

how many games did we lose?
How many premiership points did we finish with?

You and the other W/L obsessives have now been smacked in the face with the the stat you have used to bag Buckley - we have now improved based on your own benchmark.
So you can squirm and a wriggle as much as you like - W/L was your benchmark and KPI.
And for the record we won 9.5 games whether you like it or not - that's how every sensible AFL supporter view our year.
That you persist with the 9 wins line is puerile and absurd.
Not a Collingwood supporter, in my my view. Not because of the line he/she takes but the passion to see us be low.
That's the way it comes across.

Must see that film again Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci and a scene with a pen oh and Sharon Stone
