As in

Hawks F1 F2 for 46 4749??

Or as in

Hawks F2 for 46 47 lion F1.

??

I'm not giving a F1 for those picks in the 40s.

Lions need points next year. Second rounders now very valuable for the northern acadamy teams.

The Hawks F2 is valuable, auction it off....

Lions 46 47

bombers 37 39 or 39 43

Take the deal that doesn't need a sweetner.

No.

Hawks F2 for Brisbane picks 46, 47, 49 in isolation. They aren’t going to use them.

I think we need to be a bit more realistic of when our next premiership is coming. It’s absolutely not coming in the next 5 years.

At that point Allen and waterman are 30/31.

Go watch shanahans videos, beautiful long kick, strong contested mark, great leading - genuine reasons for consideration at 12. You don’t turn your back when you get a look at 30 for some part time mids.

Get our future bookends set now with shanahan and Dennis in this draft and if we can nab a possible in boxshall.

Next year we fill the gaps with top end mids and runners we need - Rodriguez, Warner and swadling and hope one of chesser, Johnston, boxshall can make one wing their own.

What are the reasons for him sliding this far?
Some ppl had him as the best key position player in this draft.

Baker was at Tigers with a similarly broken list to ours. What difference did he make? Do you think Harley wouldn't see the potential of he and Smith in the midfield?
The Tigers had a diabolical injury list last year on top of a declining aging list. Similar to us in 23. I wouldn't expect him or any other player to be able to magically fix that.
We seem to have overcome our injury woes (touch wood) and have a core of up and coming young players who will form part of our next flag tilt hopefully. What was blindingly obvious this year and needed drastic attention is the culture of entitlement and laziness from our older players. This was in part also a coaching issue. So we are addressing that by bringing in a new voice (Mini) and bringing in some older players in an age gap of need that will bring the culture standards we are chasing. I reckon Harley would enjoy playing alongside the likes of Baker moreso than leaders like Kelly or Sheed who constantly burn him and chose when to put in effort or not. Thats the theory anyway, let see how it pans out.
The point is, Harley might see Smith come in and think, "yeah, maybe we will be a good 1-2 punch in 3 or 4 years but not in this rabble". Or he might start loving being the prince of Perth in a team getting some good wins and with an improving culture and morale and decide to sign on for a few more years.

Have fun everyone. 10.30 meeting on my last day of work ever.

Someone in the thread earlier is quite smart btw. Let's just leave it at that.

Yes there are potential offers on our next pick but all that depends on how much people offer Richmond and the Dogs and whether or not those two clubs take up an offer.

There's still a top 15 player on our board in play so i'm not sure even a future first would get it done unless it's from a lower ranked club.

Good day!

pantskyle so what you heard was we offered our F1 to Melbourne at 9? Did it sound like an actual chance? Obviously would have been for Bo

No didn't hear that we did but that made the most sense IMO to get Bo, ended up working out better for us.

Don't see the interest in Brisbane raffle in the late 40s

GWS for 36 or the Essendon deal would be good
It's not the late 40s per se now.

If we could get 46 47 49 for a F2, then tonite with still 40-50 players on the boards

We will have picks 3 16 18 19 21.

That's list building right there. We take 6 in the main draft and champion if a bid, and knobel as a rookie.

Next year, I predict trade/retirement/delisting of
Jamo
Petch
Cripps
Chesser
Sheed
Bazzo
B. Williams

So next year we will need warner and 4/5 draftees too.

They took two key forwards already this draft
So? They don't have any AFL level key position talent besides Balta prior to this draft (Lynch is cooked, Nank has another year or two max). They need to load up. They also need a ruck.

Given the time it takes for them to develop into AFL players, you're better off taking a few and hoping you hit on a couple of them. Gives you margin for error.

30, 44 and 68 left.

Doubt anyone bids on Malakai.

Be nice to nudge that 44 down to mid 30's, but other than that I'd be pretty happy to just leave it, Take Shanna's and walk away.

Other than Brisbane who's desperate to offload picks (in the 40's range mind you, not 30's), we're going to pay a premium to buy back in.

Clarke actually cooked which is hilarious after reading all the melts here.

I love what’s been done so far. Hoping for a great day two - so much talent on for this pick 30 and got a bonus pick to play now which is handy. Only guy not a fan of that is probably Coby Burgiel. I’ll always remember that bag he kicked though 🙌🏻

You do realise Duane is running the show in there don’t you?

Nah WCE_phil cooked once Clarke was banned from the decision making process.

You can show your appreciation by buying him a San Miguel to enjoy on the beach in the Phillipines. Transfer money into his account at BSB 1992 Account No. 1994 2006 2018
