Point I'm making is it's stupid for anyone to trade an established talent (Wingard, Wines) for a Pick 2 because you don't exactly know what you're getting - even though we know we'd get Aish (shouders and all). However if somebody wanted out or was going to walk anyway you would look stupid if you're trading a player next year for Pick 10-20 when you could have got Pick 2 for him this year. Now I'm not saying that anybody will walk I'm throwing up the suggestion of that's how this Pick 2 thing could go down.

Ala if Dangermouse or Sloane wanted back to Melbourne next year the Cows would look stupid getting Pick 5 or 10 next year if they could have got Aish this year. People will understand it better if I use Cows as the fall guy.

Have a feeling Henderson (Adl) will be traded for Varcoe (Gee) which will then almost 100% confirm Polec is ours. Kid doesn't mind where he plays in SA and our second pick will do it, if the Crows trade Hendo for Varcoe they really don't have he currency to get the Polec trade done! and despite the Crows boards thoughts the PSD won't be an option.

Though Ports will be meeting with Varcoe also.

He wants to come to Port, Port have something to give - the Crows do not.

Polec has told the Lions he wants to come to Port,

It's up to Polec really, from what I heard from the very beginning is that he told Brisbane that Port were his club of choice. I haven't heard that change, and I am still incredibly confident he will be in Port colours next year.


Though, stranger things have happened I guess in this game.

Injury prone and has had 2 awful years culminating in him being worst on ground in 3 finals in succession. The fact Geelong are shopping him around whilst contracted says a bit.

With White recruited I'd rather try for Melbourne's pick #2 for pick #13 + Pittard and Renouf. Roos wants something right away to justify his salary, but can't trade in players close to 30 yrs old so it's not too obvious. Odds of them agreeing - 1%. Worth a try for the pants down, lap around the table yes though
