Possibility of Crippa heading back to WA as his career grows? (supported West Coast growing up and his cousin moved from the saints there)

As much as I'd like to say there's no chance, it definitively can't be ruled out. Someone get this bloke a mrs and a mortgage.

I am happy to volunteer, Mr BQ has reluctantly agreed, understand and accepts the sacrifice.

Pendles took 38 games to rack up 33 touches. Murph 40 something. Shiel 36.

Just sayin.
For a direct comparison - It took Kennedy 5 seasons and Watson 6 season ( both had a 30 possession game the year before).

Paddy just needs to build the tank to get easy possession on the outside to be topping 40 per game. :)

I honestly haven't been excited by a Carlton player in 20 odd years
Yes Juddy coming over was exciting, but there is just no substitute for drafting and developing your own champions (something our club has been woefully inadequate for many years)

I am greedy though, I want 6 or 7 more Paddy Cripps type kids at Carlton :( :D

I am hoping that what Cripps did somehow shames Menzel into putting in god like performances going forward from now on.

If both of those guys really start putting in some massive games... they, along with Yarran and Buckley, will get people buying memberships in the future!

I love what I'm seeing from Paddy, but by golly, threads like this make me nervous!
Okay let's put it in perspective - Cripps played a blinder against St Kilda, a bottom 4 team with a weak to average midfield. Without Judd in the team Cripps, and even the Captain, stepped up dominating with over 40+ contested possessions. Against better teams, with stronger midfields he won't get it as easy and will need to prove himself again.

Does that make it feel any better Biggus. :)

LOL
Yes!
Like I said, so far so good, but let's give him some more games to continue his form before putting too much pressure on him and anointing him as the "chosen one".
If he plays another blinder against the Pies - and we win - that will be huge!

I've heard that his midichlorians are off the scale... even higher than Master Yoda's.

He'll stay if we are going somewhere.

His bro was (and still is) a fringe player, Cripps will be a leader.

Do you watch other games of footy. Far from a fringe player?

All of the sudden hysteria over the fact he said he was a west coast supporter as a kid. Won't leave Carlton.

Cripps will be our Captain in 2 years. He is a star haven't seen a player adapt to AFL as quick as him and at his age. Gets contested possies and tackles stick, he's only going to get stronger and bigger look out.
