Audio is a direct link to the mp3 I think mate! We don't normally include a link to the XML feed page, but it's probably a good idea. We'll try to remember to add it in the future. Cheers wow_jones.

Got to agree with the point made though. I don't know how many thousands of Irish people there are in Melbourne or across Australia - but there's no reason they shouldn't all be Blues fans. If Carlton said come along to Ikon Park with your Irish passport - and we'll give you a free ticket to your first game to see Zach, Gus and Casey do their thing against GWS or someone - you'd snag plenty, I reckon.

Better still, get Mick Malthouse down The Drunken Poet on Tuesday sinking pints of stout, and you'll recruit around 10,000 of us in one swoop.

On a more serious note, Melbournes population is set to double by 2045. Regardless of how people feel about that, thats a lot of potential new lifelong members. We should be proactive now in positioning ourselves as the club of choice in any way we can.

Listening to the podcast now - just thought I would point out that whilst Carlton dont have an American in our AFL team - the Northern Blues recently recruited American "Alex Aurrichio" who will most likely start in the development squad, but may become a permanent fixture should he perform.

And in terms of international memberships - we have one that does provide AFL live pass access and some merchandise - however its $160 and standard international access to a live pass is $150. I would expect that for most international supporters - they wont usually wear a cap or scarf - so the merch isnt really value adding, and they arent getting the product cheaper via the club than they could direct from the AFL. I think the suggestions of a team specific game access for international members is a good idea which could help keep the cost down, and bring more revenue into our club rather than directly to the AFL.

That's an excellent post... especially with the accent.
