FWIW I thought Tredrea would be the last guy that would want to play for Port Adelaide as much as he did (or any specific club mind you). Brad Ebert proved me wrong, and I could not be more happy.

There is a lot of Port on both sides of Brad's family. Not too many players would be as closely tied to any club now or in the future.

You could argue similar for the Matera's... Wally, Peter and Phil all played for us since our inception in 1987, so seeing Brandon go to GWS was difficult (even though he is Wally's son and he played the least matches for WCE).

Aside from the obvious Ebert name on his father's side, I think his mum's father and grand father also won premierships with Port.
If it had been a Melbourne based team like Collingwood etc we would have been reading about it for years.
