Do the Swans make finals this year

No not that F word, the one clubs don't like to publicly mention FINALS

I'm probably going to annoy some posting a poll like this when the preference is one game at a time FFS but I can't help having one eye on the ladder at this stage of the season.

I'm sure the thread will be full of don't deserve it anyway, making up the numbers etc and my timing after the Essendon loss might sway it.

But anyway if you dare discuss the possibility.

For me, my opinion is that it won't matter if we do as we don't look to be able to maintain a full game, which is required especially from the bottom half of the eight however ... I love watching the Swans play finals, it is exciting in the build up and fills the time with hope. Gotta be in it to win it. I predict they knock off Collingwood and the Saints to scrape in on percentage.

The F word is literally the reason the Swans are so inconsistent.

They started talking about finals before the season started, like theyve already made it. No, you play week in week out to make it.

It’s all in the mindset, turn it on against good teams, switch off against lower ranked sides because theyre not worthy finals sides.

Aaaah the bloody F word..

Hey it worked last year.
Generally the view was RUNVS may have gone a little early, but I'm all for this thread if we have a similar outcome this year, provided we have the added bonus of a finals win, or two or three or four.

Come on and dream baby dream
We gotta keep the light burning

Oddly enough, and I can't explain why, I felt more confident in the early rounds of 2021 than I did the early rounds of 2022.

Playing finals this year would be invaluable to the young players taking that next step in 2023 which is when I think we might finally see some consistency and become a real premiership threat.

Missing finals this year would be a very big blow to our progress.
Agreed, given there's a core of players that have had limited finals experience, making finals would be a huge boost to the development of our players. Finals wins would be great as well to get as much finals exposure for our young guys, even if we don't achieve the ultimate.

I think we drop Freo, GWS, Collingwood.

Not sure how many years in a row now, but it's been 1-1 against GWS each season for a long time now. GWS are also in that honey moon phase with the new coach and are playing a very high scoring brand of footy we probably will have trouble stopping. Same with Collingwood, very attacking and score quickly with fast ball movement, something we struggle to stop mid-game.

disagree
think we don't drop another game all season

🤣

ok freo we lose

I'm tending to think you're being a little facetious here Kingy 😉
But I'm hoping you are very correct regardless.

freo should be favourites

but the rest genuinely think we are favourites
