Good question haha. He does love the long sleeves, even in march/april.. but surely he goes for the short given the weather?
Wear long sleeves for Ginni. Embrace his difference. I think Jack has been one of the most talked about footballers for no real reason. He did make a mistake earlier this year but he's turned himself around. I want him to play well. I want to see him be praised. He's done his time, some of it unfairly. Now is the time for him to win a premiership and celebrate.

Has there been any announcement of post match activities by the players and for the supporters if we win tomorrow
Do they present on stage inside the G like Riewoldt and the tigers did in 2017?
I remember in 2010 they opened up AAMI Park for the players to be presented to the supporters

The best post GF celebration was 1990 when the supporters not only took over Victoria Park the the whole suburb of Abbotsford.! Now that was a celebration

If we win on Saturday, it'll be huge. Richmond might like to think they are big but we are the biggest club in the land and will remind those foul felines who is boss.

I don't see the issue with Lipinski as sub at all if it came to be.

His one wood is his tank and two way running. His 1 iron is his lack of pace and at times questionable attack at the ball this year.

By bringing him on when tired legs are starting to become a factor it not only brings the speed of the game closer to his level his running capacity becomes an even greater weapon.

The other hopeful consequence of this is that he isn't as rushed later in the game and his ability to be clean and hit targets inside 50 by foot can meet the expectations we have of him in this area.

Ginni has looked lively when he has come on, he's someone who doesn't shy away from the attention, he's won an Anzac medal so can perform on a big stage and in kicking 40 goals last year showed he can impact from the 1st quarter onwards.

He's slow by foot but quick of mind up forward, we need to find more reliable avenues to goal but Ginni needs more than 1 quarter to try and be one of those. Our lack of front and centre options has been a bugbear of mine and if we want players like Frampton to just compete on Saturday and bring the ball to ground then Ginni is arguably our best chance of being in the right spot at the right time.

60pts won't cut it this week IMO, we'll need to find another 3 or 4 goals to give ourselves a chance and of those outside our Preliminary final 22 Ginni is the most credentialed to come in and contribute on the scoreboard.

Some people were open to the crazy risk of selecting Kreuger.

It's far less of a risk swapping out Lipinski for Ginnivan and Ginni is by far the most notable goal kicker of the 3 at AFL level.

It's a move that wont cost us the game but it damn well could help win it.

Interesting. That would be a surprise (to me).

I personally don’t see what Lippa would add coming on late in the game. With Adams out, I think we need Lippa on from the start.

I also doubt that Ginni can run out a full game in the heat having played so little over past month.

Not a fan of picking elite endurance runners as subs. Lippa comes on late, he’s still going to be as slow as everyone else.

agree. coupla other points:

Lippa seems to have performed better (still not great) in the 2nd half of both finals. As legs tire & the game slows, it's easier for him to get involved.

With Frampton likely to be trying to halve aerial contests v Andrews et el, instinctive players that can read the spoil / spill / crumb off hands will be more in the Frammers frame to capitalise ..enter Ginni!

Lippa worked with Selwood on a lot of tackling toward the end of the session. I think he's been in self preservation mode. He's had two shoulder reconstructions in a space of 3 months, then missed half the year. He probably wanted to play every game to get to this point, to the last game of the year without getting injured again.

Now is the time to go hard Pat. Nothing to lose. It's clearly all mental, there is nothing wrong with him physically just bit of self preservation and being conservative in fear of doing something.

It's Thorold Merrett's 90th birthday on Saturday.
He was a Premiership player for us in 1953 and 1958, and a Copeland Trophy winner in the latter year.
If we needed another reason to win the flag, there's one right there.

I’ve got my remaining half dozen encased behind Perspex in my beer fridge in the mancave. View only!
Perhaps 'personcave' more appropriately captures the times in which we live. Along with members of female persuasion, inclusive of recent cross-overs, you also don't want to discourage non-binary friends from availing themselves of your hospitality.

^^^^this and he was very clean with ball in hand at training today. Confident and strong. Mentally the self preservation and maybe playing a different role with Adams out last week was challenging. Im expecting a big game from him.

Unless Ginni has been dropped then he's in the 22 and Noble misses out

Exactly! Subs should have genuine X factor. The ability to turn a game with a handful of touches.

Lippa doesn't possess those traits. His ability to add value comes from delivering the ball with precision into our F50 and outlasting his opponents as they tire.

The more they play with injury doubts, the better ..
Pfft. We have already well and truly won the unwanted injuries before a big game contest. If anything, we have given Brisbane good reason to take no risks with their much more minor peripheral concerns.
