I disagree that he was excellent... I actually though he looked shaky. Happy for him to be selected. I think mihocek will do a number on him.
Him and Andrews restricted McKay and Curnow to 3 goals, in a game where Carlton looked like blowing it apart early.

Andrews was excellent, maybe best on ground, but he was assisted heavily by Gardiner's contribution.

The bloke that has snuck into our best 22 today has an ANZAC Day medal for kicking a bag in a big game in front of a massive crowd.

We are absolutely peaking for this
If he gets a goal, the roof of Marvel Stadium will blow off the noise will be so loud.

Sheesh looking over at the Brisbane board, they are super confident they get this done on Saturday.

Last 2 games at the G they’ve allowed 98 and 105 points. Their game plan has changed since earlier in the season to compensate for poor play at the G, but when they run out on Saturday, I’m hoping the bright lights of a grand final can spook them, as well as playing in front of 100,000 people, with their largest crowd being 91k in the early 2000’s. Lots has been said about losing McStay, but apparently his loss means we have lost all of our spirit and identity. I don’t buy it, whatsoever. I’m still backing us to kick a winning score. And on a hot day, I have a feeling we’ll be able to run over them.

Our back 6 is incredible, and as long as we don’t try and press up too much and allow Cameron and Rayner over the back, I don’t know how they kick a winning score against us.

They have more talent, that’s undeniable, and they may be quicker than us, but I have full faith Fly will have us ultra prepared with a game plan to match. I’m backing the midfield group to have an absolute cracker this weekend. If they do, we win.

It will come down to the ‘moments’ and with guys like Bruzzy, Daics x2, Moore, Pendles, Crisp etc we have enough guys that will stand up tall on the biggest stage.

I have a great feeling we can add a 16th flag against our name come 5pm Saturday.

It just doesn't seem right that JFN goes from whipping boy to cult favourite this year then misses finals. Having said that I'm not sure who I'd drop for him. Respect to him though for his enormous effort this year, we wouldn't be where we are without his impressive contribution.
HOW about lipinski

I dunno why certain fans are calling us cocky, when the Brisbane board are starting to show signs of cockiness, where after the Pies history the last thing we do is do that, we have a little bit of confidence and pessimism

Nah I like Lippa as the sub. If he needs to play a whole game he can, he’s match fit, he comes on later in the game he’ll still be a running machine but a fresh one. And it gets Ginni on the ground and dangerous from the bounce. He can make it happen.
I like it!

Only had to look at about 5 comments to realise they think they’re home and hosed, and scoffing at the fact we’ve chosen Frampton whilst JFN is out and Lippa is the sub.

I’ll reply to that sentiment by them deciding to forego Payne for Gardiner, selecting McCarthy with a suspect calf issue and Choccy Neale whose shoulder won’t be 100%.

I agree with you, we are not cocky but we have built an immeasurable amount of self-confidence after the way we’ve played for 24 months now.

If we lose, so be it, we will be back. But Brisbane are primed, been thereabouts for 5 seasons now and have only finally now made the jump to a GF. Doesn’t mean shit. I’d love to give it to them in a few days time.

Ginni coming in makes me feel a bit better about the Frampton call. IF we can get out forward 50 entries to the right places (not on Andrews' head) with Elliott, Ginni, Beau , Hill , Checkers , Coxy etc... on the loose we should have plenty of scoring power

Lipinski over Noble is immensely disappointing, even more so when you consider Lipinski doesn't suit the sub role at all but Noble does.

Slow, outside, soft, distance running grinder vs. Pacey, aggressive, hard nosed pressure machine. We are going to be looking to inject some pace and passion into the game and we are going to get Lipinski plodding along slower than all the blokes who have already played 3 quarters. It took Lipinski a half to even have an effective disposal last week. It's a baffling decision. I really hope we've managed to get them at a good arm's length before needing to call on him.

Though they will need to rack up some possessions between them rather than the modest total of last week.

I understand your concern, but last week was an incredibly tight game. Felt like we couldn’t breath. I came away thinking it was the most difficult game we played all year.

Some say that PFs are often the best games of the finals series, so Saturday could be different and our guys might get more space and opportunity to rack up some possessions.

Could be a game lost at selection if we haven't made the right choices - Frampton over Kreuger and Ginnivan over Lipinski/JFN.
