The Blose hierarchy knows how to cook the books
Anthony Anderson Food GIF by ABC Network

Brown paper bags

“Can you smell which books the B’lose are cooking?”
I can, and that's why I wear a gas mask when I'm in their vicinity, so I can actually breathe through the stench.

Alas no.
How can a player who didn’t play in the GF be judged best finals player???
They must of thought "Give it to a poor Carlton campaigner. They never win anything". I bet our boys were shattered to only come away with premiership medals and a lifetime of bonding and reunions. Surely with 2 Brownlows, 3 Colemans, and a Gary Ayres medal Carlton are an absolute powerhouse now aren't they?

North Melbourne fit in nicely with that quartet.

Though at least Fremantle have played in a Grand Final in the last two decades...

I reckon there’s a bit of recency bias there …

… over long periods North have generally punched above their weight. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if North suddenly flicked a switch and started doing very well. Kinda like Hawks in 2024. Or us in 2022. They certainly have the players to get there, they just need to work better collectively and have a bit of belief in themselves.

Happy? They've all got bars that Superman couldn't bend. Imagine all the years we finished 2nd, 3rd, 4th and they were a pile of shit finishing 18th, 16th, 17th if we got this excited.
'We only lost by 28 points to the eventual premier'.

What stage of grief is this again? :tearsofjoy:

Acceptance. Accepting they just weren’t good enough this year.

I was talking about 2023.
Walsh had a good finals series but didn’t influence the result of the PF.
I think Crisp would have been more deserving.
Sorry mate, missed the all important last year bit 🙄
