The Carlton Board is poetic

Mid-life existential crisis...

We are at rock bottom. Unacceptable across the board is how I would put it. The fans are angry. The coaching group as a whole is devoid of ideas and sticking to a dog of a game plan. Players have lost all confidence. Football dept. needs desperate changes and is led by serial underperformers. Our CEO is seeing out his retirement nest egg booster contract and isn't here for the long term. The club is led by a President who spruiks himself as an up and coming business leader who in reality should be ending up in jail in the next 12 months for being basically corrupt. The old saying goes the fish rots from the head down and it's no different at the Carlton Football Club. After 56 years of loyal support, personally I am disillusioned that an institution that I love and have so many great memories of , has been hijacked by a pack of clowns.

And, the disillusionment of youth...

At the start of the year I convinced my 14 year old to get back into the footy. He used to be obsessed with the Blues but they just burned him so he totally moved to soccer. He was getting into it but as the weeks rolled on all those painful feelings came flooding back and now he has zero interest again. It is just sad that this club is so broken that a lot of us will not have the joy of going to the football with our kids when we are older.
To be honest I am starting to hate the game as well now.

I feel their pain, in a happy way

At the quarter time huddle the camera focused on Essendon, an assistant holding up the magnet board while Scott is pointing and going through structure, they then pan to the Carlton huddle, no board in sight, players in tight around Voss while he gives a rev up speech.

Voss is basically your old time coach reminiscent of the 90ā€™s before tactics came to the fore, not suited to the modern game I feel.

Sam Walsh is GOAT.
Gives off another turnover.

I had the pleasure of being at attendance at the Carlton President's dinner last night...

Brian Cook confirms that Vossy will definitely be there next year.

Talk around the room, everyone has had enough of Diesel and his sweetheart deal as director of football.

Confusion as to why they gave a 7 game a year ruckman a new 4 year deal

Dirty on the swap with Pies for 2nd rounder

When I tried to defend Cripps' sore Anke "we've all played injured"

Great night :)

There is no too far when it comes to Carlton.

Yeah, that is. Itā€™s workplace abuse.

Maybe it was considered acceptable back in the day when Carlton were last winning Premierships, but in 2023 itā€™s not OK to have to cop abuse like that at a place of work.

Noted that a club rep was filming it - itā€™ll be interesting to see if the club take a stand and do something about it.

Put my 2 cents worth in on the Blues' Michael Voss thread - likes received - they appreciate our views on all things Carlton šŸ˜‚
You're very generous with your time.
I think the poor Blues need all our help. I may go over there as well and provide my opinion on how they can get better.
