AFL Club
St Kilda
Other Teams
Bristol City FC, Urawa Red Diamonds FC
Ross has left the club on 211 games for the red white and black, 23rd on the all-time St Kilda list in terms of games played after
Harves
Roo
Burkey
Stewie
Breen
Lenny
Joey
Milney
Colling
Dal
Cowboy
Peckett
Spud
Hudgeton
Nicky
Barks
Sam Fisher
Aussie
Sarau
Cunningham
Thompson and
Blakey

Who is most likely to overtake that on our current list?

Sincs 187
Tim 178
Webster 165
Steele 164
Marshall 133
Wilkie 132
Battle 123
Hill 106
Butler 100
Clark 98
Howard 90
King 83
Higgins 79
Paton 71
Wood 70

After that it's mostly young players who could all go past or bit parts who have no chance.

Sincs will easily make 200 and should get past Seb, in fact i would expect him to get to 250, after that, who knows?

After him, maybe Marshall and who could deny Wilkie? After that best chance is Higgins, King if he succeeds in putting his injuries behind him (stay off the golf course Max!)

Waddaya reckon?

Lets say they all play to 34yo thats another possible 24 games per year plus finals, not excluding injuries.

Jack Sinclair 29yo + 5 years = 307 games
Jack Steele 28yo + 6 years = 308 games
Tim Membrey 30yo + 4 years = 278 games
Jimmy Webster 31yo + 3 years = 237 games
Rowan Marshall 28yo + 6 year = 267 games
Brad Hill 31yo + 3 years = 178 games
Dan Butler 28yo + 6 years = 244 games
Hunter Clark 25yo + 9 years = 314 games
Dougal Howard 28yo + 6 years = 234 games
Max King 24yo + 10 years = 330 games
Jack Higgins 25yo + 9 years = 294 games
Mason Wood 30yo + 4 years = 166 games

The end can come quickly for some players so 34 is quite old in AFL years and some players are lucky to play 15 games per year. Its a big stretch for all to play to that age and consecutive games, but if they had some longevity with the kids coming through that would ensure the nucleous of a very sucessful period for the club.

Membrey might not be at the club next year.
Paton I think will most likely be delisted/traded.
Webster probably gets another year and will probably be done.
Clark will eventually be pushed out when we get other mids coming through.

Its all speculative but I cant see any reason why the others cant make it playing to 34yo. It would be great to get Sinclair, Steele and King to the 300 game mile stones.

Big question for Sinclair is who presents his jumper in game 200.

Had Lockett and Harvey do his last two milestones. Will need to find another big gun to the trend going.

Elvis is still in the building if required for example, they'll have ideas no doubt, could even catch Roo when he's back in country for eg.

I think Wilson, Nas and Philipou are all locks to reach 200 in the RWB. Owens, Windhager, King should also likely get there.
Wilkie will obviously never miss a game in his career and I can see him sailing to 250!

jimmy stynes 244

The longest consecutive games streak in the AFL is held by Jack Crisp, who has played 122 consecutive games1. However, the overall record for most consecutive AFL games is held by Irishman Jim Stynes with 244 games2. Geelong holds the record for the most consecutive games won in the AFL Premiership, with 23 wins between 1952 and 19533.

Interesting stat...Wonder what the longest unbroken run of games is for a complete career.
Jim Stynes missed only 12 games in his whole career, all of them in his 1st season. He played 244 consecutively.
Jack Crisp is close to breaking the consecutive games record but he missed quite a few games in his first 3 seasons.

Sinclair will end up playing 300 games or very close to it. Webster and memebrey wont get to 200 with us. Wilkie will play 250+
Steele will get to 200, unsure how much further then that though.
Marshall should have another 100 games in him hopefully, he may get to 250.
King and Higgins could get there depending on form and fitness.
Of the younger Brigade, hopefully all of nas, windy, Mitch, pou and Wilson play 200+ and multiple premierships...
