We have an aging team and need to blood young players .

From reports Konstas player very well in India in u18s

Send both konstas and mcsweeney over to Sri Lanka.

Even if head opens he will need to be replaced .

Even someone like Cooper Connelly who can bowl spin would be good to take on tour

IMO, he's much better off going to Sri Lanka and working on his batting.

The mcg wasn't. It was the most placid pitch of the series .

I don't have a problem with his batting he will be judged accordingly with his statistics.

I just feel a young player who hasn't achieved anything needs to be more humble and respectful

Among other things he’s the youngest player to score twin Shield centuries since Ponting and made a half century on test debut as a teenager, which I would say is achieving something.

Limited opportunities for players who will probably be in white ball squads like Coops and Konstas to play Shield cricket. I think they're better off playing it than riding the bench in SL.

That's assuming they want Head opening and Hanscomb in the middle order which is what the talk is.

Could do a lot worse than play two quicks, Lyon as well as Webster and the left arm orthodox of Connolly on that tour. Good bowling options to right and left handers on a turning deck and it’s a strong batting line up when Carey is coming in at 8.

We have very different bowlers for games over there, I don't think the idea of having specialist batters is that crazy. It's almost a different sport with how different the pitches will be
