Scorchies having the best NRR and now every team above them having a wash out so it doesn't matter just sums up this shit show of a season so far.

Our next game on Saturday looks to be rained out too. Really need a game played and for us to win it, season over if not.Scorchies having the best NRR and now every team above them having a wash out so it doesn't matter just sums up this shit show of a season so far.
Connolly on the plane according to Morris.
YepDoes that mean Connolly misses the end of the Big Bash though?
Not that it should matter for the Scorchers who are looking likely to crash out of finals
Similar to his brother. He had patches of sparkling form and patches of looking like a walking wicket. The lack of consistency is frustrating.Vale Mitch Marsh's test career
Never deliverd on so much potential
Unfortunately he'll be remembered as a great bloke who wasn't up to standard. The night he got that 100 at Leeds was one of my favourite nights watching sport ever. Was our best bat last summer, including playing a key role in the second test win in NZ. Didn't finish on a high but I can't cop that his run in the test side since he came back in wasn't a success.
Reckon he’s had a fair share dismissalls in the 90’s tooScored more centuries than his dad, and the same as his brother. Took more wickets than both obviously, so bragging rights at the family table.
This series is a free hit, too, now we've qualified for the WTC final. So we can take players and develop them for the future.Who does Abbott have compromising photos of at CA? How the bloke keeps getting selected in these squads is bloody mystifying.
Richardson
Morris
O’Neill
Bartlett
Johnson
Any of the above should be considered ahead of him.
Bit of a shame that Richardson and Rocchicioli missed out.The squad has been announced.
Apart from Abbott, I think they've got it pretty right.
Australia squad for Sri Lanka Tests: Steve Smith (c), Sean Abbott, Scott Boland, Alex Carey, Cooper Connolly, Travis Head (vc), Josh Inglis, Usman Khawaja, Sam Konstas, Matt Kuhnemann, Marnus Labuschagne, Nathan Lyon, Nathan McSweeney, Todd Murphy, Mitchell Starc, Beau Webster
Bit of a shame that Richardson and Rocchicioli missed out.
But Sri Lanka can be a graveyard for fast bowlers, so I'm not sure it's the place you want to be reintroducing someone after injury. Also, Todd Murphy did well in India, and offers a different (flatter, skiddier) trajectory to the other finger spinners, so he could offer a point of variation if they choose to go with 3 spinners.
Mitchell Swepson also stiff to miss out in favour of Kuhnemann. Figures of 8/192 in his two Sri Lanka tests, and his other tests were in Pakistan, on roads, whereas Kuhnemann got a chance on Indian dustbowls.
Any reason to why the scorchers haven’t named the bison for our next game?
