Club needs all the money it can get and they can probably make a quick $100k out of selling match worns and then a bunch more replicas. I'm not fussed.
The club would have made plenty from this years PB sales alone. The 2022 version sold out this year (limited 400) and now the 2023 edition which according to Koch is doing very well and the Port store team are not counting that in the overall merchandise sales for this year as its positively distorting the numbers.

The 2023 PB version was sold out on the Port Store website and restocked end of last month again.

Don't think we need a retro guernsey sale we hardly are selling the chevron Home & Away guernseys but it does no harm i guess...

Any time we wear a "retro or heritage" guernsey that isnt the bars it dilutes the brand
Nah.

It shows we are big enough to understand and celebrate our past - good and bad.. Including jumpers we will never wear again except for retro round.

If you think about it, making retro round about celebrating previous kits that have come and gone other than the bars actually reinforces the notion that the bars is who we are and the other kits are part of the journey.

It tells new supporters the story of our history. Magneta, light blue, lightening bolts whatever. Every jumper tells a story. That's the point isn't it?

It's our history. I love it. Even if I didn't at the time.

If this was in the scenario where we had guernsey autonomy I'd agree with you

if I go out ****ing all these random women it just reinforces the idea that I love my wife and those other girls are just part of the journey

Wtf why is there a Port Power logo on that letter.
Era appropriate logo, hat is originally from the 90s and we used that logo until 2001. Lots of clubs are doing the same thing with using their old logos in amongst the promo for retro guernseys and such.

I thought we ditched Port Power almost straight away, by 1998 it was just PORT

the late 70's through to late 90's was a great time to be a port supporter.

I'm lucky to have lived through that, I feel sorry for those who have missed it.

probably explains why those of us on here from that era are so hard on the current port adelaide club, coaches and players
And Duffle Coats! I couldn't afford one but one of my school mates had one and was so jealous.

And Tim Evans could kick a football.

I met him in the flesh as a 12/13yo and was struck by how freaking huge he was. Not so much his height, but his total frame. Very imposing.

I was at that game - can't remember what I was doing down in Adelaide on a weekend during the footy season - my team must've had the bye that week.

Apart from TE's monumental feat, my memories were of Russell and Bucky (and probably others) feeding big Tim again and again once the ton loomed as a real possibility.

Ebert didn't make the Tiser's best players, which would've been a rarity in a season when he won his 4th Magarey. He did break the club games record that week though.

Torrens kicked 7 in the last quarter because Port just kept looking for Tim
