Jordan lilse...

the fact despite the off field dramas, and the coach being sacked the boys have continued to play some great footy.

the ball use into the foward 50 especially in the 1st half was really impressive....

I meen right now its hard not to be pissed at the lame arse ed umpires BUT Looking foward to next year, the boys should be chomping at the bit.

cant wait till next year to see guys like mayes, michael, yeo,and co really develop and really start moving up the ladder.

Despite a few less than determined efforts in the first half Lisle ended up having what I thought was his best game for the club.

Its taken a while, BUT I agree against lonergan one of the games best defenders, lets hope now that can be a spring board for him to foward next year.

Agreed. It's been said a lot but there's something to work with him if he can just attack the ball and throw his weight around more.

Jordan Lisle has to play as many games as possible next year.

Stop looking for forwards outside the club, we have one in the bloody club.

Lisle is a positive for sure. Clutch goals as well as some good contested marks. Might be a bit soft on occasions but he is a smart football and improves on each game most of the time. He won't be a superstar but he will and can be a target and contribute well to the cause.

Harwood is just...Wow, some of this stuff today was sublime to watch, his tackle on Chappy! OH BOY WOWEE!

I think Harwood is going to be a Lions player that supporters of other clubs wish they had and will wonder how no one else spotted his potential.

When they redo his draft year on paper in the years to come he will be closer and closer to the top ten each time and draft pick 47 will seem like one of the great steals of that year!

Didn't see it ,what did he say?

Just said that 'lucky Melbourne' when asked about roos and the others didn't push the issue. Is his demeanour and confidence and the way everybody shits themselves around him.

Great job today at Geelong. Very happy that the year has ended well on the field, especially after what has happened off it the last few weeks. Can't wait for next year.

The boys will be more fired up next year! From round 7 onwards we have been very impressive, We were thrashed in two games - Hawthorn and Collingwood (with half the team out) and we were more competitive against other teams around us, something that we couldn't have done last year.

I am actually confident for next year, bring on 2014!

Players like Yeo, Harwood, Docherty, Green, Clarke, Lisle, Mayes, and even players like Bewick, Lester and Golby will all be much better next year after the games they played this year and another pre season under their belt. Going to be very exciting!

We had a season with some disappointments, some downers, even a little disillusionment at times.

But there have been many more positives. The Lions season ends with me feeling we had much more good than bad and a great deal of excitement for the future.

These last few seasons have been the building blocks for what happens in the next few. When we are in the top four in the years to come, we can look back at these last few years as the ones where we supported the team through its, sometimes difficult, development on the way to becoming a powerhouse once again.

Lisle is a huge prospect...disappointed we haven't given him more opportunity....agree, he could be the forward we are looking for outside of the club...

If we're going to have an actual exodus, at least it's in a non-compromised draft year (only Martin and Hogan missing this year and hardly any activated compo picks).

Glass half full - at least Gubby Allan isn't in charge of our list management with all these players wanting out...

It'd be like putting Uter in charge of an unprotected chocolate store...end result:

Looking at Hawthorn v Sydney game tonight - hawks have 7 and Sydney have 6 players that were traded in. With the potential mass exodus, we could, in reality, trade ourselves into a much better position than drafting.

Yeah!

Just like back in 2010.

Oh wait:oops:

That's the spirit, just cause it was not ideal the first time lets not do it again hey. If that was the case and based on the use of our first round draft picks over the years, we should never draft in the first round either - look how successful that has been!

I was just stirring.

Actually, I think our 2010 trades weren't all that bad. Stakes and Goose are still valuable players for us. We also traded Pick 44 to Richmond for Raines which most would think was a bargain.
