My son umpired this morning with another young lad, when discussing football during the half time break, find out he's a Lions supporter. :)
His father (like me) was a Fitzroy supporter and made the switch. All four of his sons followed their father's lead and support the Lions.
Good parenting there :thumbsu:

Their coach. He's finally realised you can't defend you're way to a premiership but now he's completely out of his depth.

i think ross lyon has done a great job as coach his whole career, when you have a look at his record at the saints he was a bounce of the ball away in one GF and a toe poke from scarlett in another away from winning 2 flags with them.

with the dockers, been up there every year and with some accurate goal kicking against the hawks in the GF would probably have won that one.

overall i think he has worked with what he has had at his disposal, particularly at the dockers who have a dearth of key position talent except for pav.

I really am hoping that second rounder that came from St Kilda to Collingwood and then to us turns out to be exactly the sort of player we need and exactly the sort of player Collingwood are desperate for. That would just round all this out nicely.

Will probably be points for Allison. Early signs look good.

didn't we get one 2015 2nd round pick and one 2016 2nd round pick for Aish? Given his current level of performance Pies paid overs! Definite positive!

Bastinac, most of the points needed for Keays plus the Saints second rounder this year.

Grand larceny!

I too was born a Fitzroy supporter like my father and grandfather before me. I made the switch, and now my 4 and 2 year old boys run around saying"Go Lions, boo the rest" Ha chip off the old block.

After Sydney, we've got:

Rd 7-- Port (away)
Rd 8--Collingwood (home)
Rd 9--Melbourne (away)
Rd 11-- Carlton (away)
Rd 12--Freo (home)

We're not a good side at the moment and no matches are gimmes, but we should be a competitive shot of winning 5 out of our next 6. If we have a good run and pick up 3 of those 5, we'd already have reached our 2015 win total by round 12.

Hopefully we can have a rare good run with injury for the next few weeks. Beams, Cutler and Paparone all fit would make sure we're in with a real shot of winning most of those games.

We are an ok chance at the pies (unless they really did find some form) carlton and freo. At least i hope.

I hope cuts comes back soon. I actually thought some of the run out of the back was good in the bullies game. I think the free kicks, cuts going down (and to a lesser extent the bundy bump) really turned the game.

I hope we put a 4 qrtr effort against port and build on that momentum and crush the pies. I think we'll go down to the demons but hope we get right back up and beat Carlton and the absolutely maul the dockers
