Love this so much prophetic.


Have been involved in basketball for decades and play masters - will see you at the masters last one was on the Gold Coast. My kids play and I am in a governance role here in Tas. Rolled my ankle a couple of weeks ago playing and damn frustrated wanting to get back.

Inspiring post, I need to get back on the court. You learn to play smarter, not run as much, occasional hold on the rebound and read the play. They may be fast does not mean they play smart. If you are on the court you are doing well - respect!!!!

Fantastic to hear Verdun...yes its a great game to play...I never realised how much instinct still lives inside your bones, inside your spirit...but its all there....just have to play smart as you say...still got to get that tank ...well just enough to be subbed off not be asking to be subbed off....That will come..I'm sure! It is on the Gold Coast at the moment, mates are there and I should be, ankle stopped me. Rotates has been in Adelaide, Geelong, NW Coast Tas etc. Keep going and get into it

Late to this but have been watching Mr Inbetween, really great show.
Kleo, a German version of Killing Eve is very good as well. Set just after the fall of the Berlin Wall, an ex Stasi assassin goes after the East Germans who put her in jail in 1987, for doing her job. Worth a look.

I really dislike day/night Test matches. Also I hate these one sided games.

I understand that the minnow teams need to play Test matches, but why can't Australia A play the West Indies and the Australia team play someone good. We only get 5 Tests a year in Australia (I wish we got more) and we're wasting 2 of them on a team that has no heart.


Would love to see more Test match Cricket be played in Australia.

SA batting is a bit D grade at present, if anything, add spice by holding some associates and say Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and co, this then leads into the boxing day instances for the English/Indian/Pakistan header. And you can fill time during this time by then having Aus A trott around and warm up the other associates. Like say, here's Ireland and Scotland for one rotation and 4 tests, then here's Nepal and Zimbabwe, whilst Bangladesh and Sri lanka then follow for 2 test each in a 4 test series prior to boxing day.

This is in part why the Windies are here, just much like SA with batting, the Windies are all one plan only, and if that doesn't work, they go to water. At least with someone like say Afghanistan, you know they'll try their hardest and at least try and get a draw, as opposed to the Windies "these 3 people can be competent, the rest of you, try and make 20" approach.
