I don't see that Kernahan's attitude to Ratten is any different to McGuire's man love for Buckley nor Evans' or Little's worshipping of Hird, yet no-one questions/questioned their priorities & any suggestion that Kernahan cares more for his mates than the club is unfounded. This is a bloke who has dedicated almost 30 years to the club, sticking by it when the likes of Pratt pulled the pin & who knocked back a lucrative offer from the Crows, an offer that would have allowed him to return home a very wealthy man.Absolutely not, as Ratten didn't hire himself.
We had to put him on yet we didn't really want him.
As if Ratten wouldn't have known/felt that and all the pressure that came along with it.
Kernahan said that if it was up to him, Ratten would still be there.
I still can't get my ahead around a president opening declaring that and then seeing Ratten ousted.
Bewildering and that alone suggests that Kernahan cared more for his mates than for the club. He didn't say as such but what is that comment about?
The President for gods sake said that! What does that say for the people that made the collective decision?
Get rid of the amateurs and get this club working in a professional manner again. Off you go Mark..
He looked pretty bloody pleased with himself when picking up Chinese Take Away at South Morang on Saturday night.I can just imagine the glee in king's voice on the radio.
Was he Westinghouse is favourite straw hat, boat shoes and boardies? He looked pretty bloody pleased with himself when picking up Chinese Take Away at South Morang on Saturday night.
Can't say I spotted a straw hat & it was too cold for boardies, but the boat shoes might have been happening. Was he Westinghouse is favourite straw hat, boat shoes and boardies?
No joke that is what he wore to our game v Norf in Ballarat in Feb.
Don't know how autocorrect got Westinghouse from wearingCan't say I spotted a straw hat & it was too cold for boardies, but the boat shoes might have been happening.
Jobe Watson is really speedy.
Seriously some of the best on ballers are as slow as treacle. Josh Kennedy. Mundy. Boak.
The first 3 are all 6"2 plus.
I really hope he makes it, he's in second year and has plenty development left.
I just can't think of a decent AFL player who he reminds me of.
You've pretty much described Sam Mitchell before he was drafted by Hawthorn.I've watched Graham a few times and just not sold on him as an AFL player.
Not doubting he can find the ball but unfortunately he is not quick, nor physically imposing and doesn't have excellent skills or a penetrating kick.
Just seems ok at most things.
Still young and has plenty of time but not sure what current AFL player he would be comparable with.
more time on the gym you reckon? You've pretty much described Sam Mitchell before he was drafted by Hawthorn.
Graham will benefit from more time in the 'system'.
And Cripps is a midget? The first 3 are all 6"2 plus.
I really hope he makes it, he's in second year and has plenty development left.

How is that possible when Natanui will win 2, Cotchin 2, Dangerfield 2, Ablett another 2, Fyfe 2 and O'Meara and Jack Martin 5 each?
all over the next 2-5 yearsJoint winners ???

You'd be happy with Graham playing 100 plus games like Mclean. Brock is slow, yet can still find space and the ball by running hard and reading the play better than athletes.NB followers - how's Tom Temay progressing?
I know it's early days but the depth of the 2012 draft looks pretty poor ATM.
We really need to start nailing our mid range picks.
Exactly. Slowness can be compensated for by smarts. Not sure what lack of smarts can be compensated for by however. These days dumb football often cost goals and goals cost momentum and games. You'd be happy with Graham playing 100 plus games like Mclean. Agree with this to some extent, but think slowness is more likely to be less of an issue when your team has the ball.Exactly. Slowness can be compensated for by smarts. Or cannot be bothered covering for them at all....I guess it is all about 'the cost of compensation' - if a side has too many 'slower' players - then other players have to somehow - make up for the costs ( as you allude to above) - which means the faster players get tired faster than they might...or do their own job less effectively..or both..
