Does anyone else hope that we’ll play Sydney instead of dogs? I feel that dogs will find another level in finals and we’d be a better chance against Sydney, especially with them not having home crowd advantage

Reckon they be making life harder for themselves choosing SA over TAS. More stuffing around with Covid restrictions plus more likely faster track/better conditions to help our game style.

Yep. Assuming we win (which I’m never confident in) I would definitely rather play Sydney than the dogs. Bulldogs are quite capable of finding another gear and belting us in finals, where as Sydney could only beat us by one goal in both games we played this year, and have just recently lost to the Saints and nearly lost to North.

Yeah. Losing to the pies would be a significant underperformance but if we can stay competitive in a final that would be a good outcome and probably as much as we can reasonably hope for.

That said, if we play the dogs I’d back Draper to destroy either English or Martin and give our mids pretty good service.

Not me mate, Dogs are at sea in the ruck, defense is wobbly and vulnerable (if we can draw Keath away they look too short), Bevo has gone made scientist and their midfield has fallen off a cliff (Bont and Dunkley are not right) with questionable defensive running. ☺

They are easily our best chance to progress.

Sydney look much more complete and finals formed to me...

All pending Essington doesn't show up tomorrow...

Dogs should get Martin back which would help and Dunkley was injured most of the year when dogs were dominating. Not sure about bont but would probably back him to find form. Sydney won’t have Mills who has been huge for them. They will have buddy looking to kick his 1,000th though…
