Rita is one of the best talents at the station and you seem to care what she thinks with all the posts you have about her. Wayne Schwass was good today and so was Scott Gullan. Wouldnt mind hearing more from him at the station as well. Would be great if Schwatta got the afternoon job. I'm a bit biased but I think he'd do better than Harford.

I don't know however if it would make sense to have a Sports Talk (as SEN is virtually at the moment, at least on the main platform) AND a general talk station in the same family. I reckon if Singo wants to make money out of this he'll change SEN back to a 3AK type setup and keep 3MP as is. Hope it's not the case but that would make the most logic if I was running a business.

Why not ?
They are two totally different audiences.

One is pitched at males 20-55.
The other is pitched at all people 55+.

They are hardly going to cannibalise each other.

I agree, Peakey and other SEN presenters the last week or so are letting their dislike of the world game fuel their ignorant comments regarding the bid and the sport as a whole. If you don't like the game thats fine, but generally these people who don't like it know nothing about it therefore should keep their comments to a minimum.

Couldn't agree more the hostility and aggression from the bloated windbag Peake is truly embarrasing. Fair enough they hate the game [i hate motor sport] I don't present a show that outlays open hostility towards a sport

You do need to, these days, to entertain as well impart information and commentary and so forth. And the one thing about the Nine commentary, which is competent, there’s not a skerrick of entertainment on it. It’s dry, dreary and drab…

It’s sort of trawling the bottom a little bit aren’t we. Basically he’s knocked off everybody bare somebody from the Collingwood cheer squad

I committed the ultimate sin there at Channel 10. Something you’re not ever allowed to do. That was ask to be paid

With Tabcorp no longer associated with Sport927, the funding for that station has dramatically reduced meaning the races may not be viable there in the future - the wagering licence expires in 2012 (I think) so we could see a totally different landscape in how we bet and what media is allowed to transmit it.

SEN are most probably sticking their toes in the water and seeing what happens. Friday nights, Saturday afternoons (non football season) and Sunday afternoons would generate SFA revenue for SEN. Its not going to hurt them financially to get involved with the racing. In fact I dare say they would probably be earning more.

They're just looking long term at this I would imagine and thats good thinking.

im enjoying listening to harf and richo in the mornings. seems very easy going and they cover a range of sports. miles better than mg. miles. interview with the golfer who played in the snow was refreshing. imagine mg doing the interview:

"so how difficult is it playing in the snow? do you still use a white ball or do you use a pink one?"
"well, I use a coloured one. I remember putting on the first hole, it took 9 putts to finish!"
"i'd imagine its really difficult and challenging to play in the snow, a bit like playing in geelong in the middle of winter. do you follow afl?"

I've read a book he wrote about corruption in the Olympic movement 'Lords of the rings" If 1/10 of what is in that book is true it's still pretty shocking stuff.
