If Khawaja does not get selected this match, he should trun his back on Australian cricket and chase the big dollars in T20.

They have treated him like rubbish for years now, and do not give him a chance. But by selecting him, they do not give him a chance to find consistent form in sheild cricket.

The last person the selectors treated this badly was Martyn. Lets hope that Khawaja can shove it up their arses and dominate like Martyn did!

Khawaja has had multiple opportunities to cement his spot and hasn't taken them. He really needed to convert one or two of those "hard fought" 20s and 30s into a century to make him impossible to drop. Unfortunately for him, he couldn't do that.

Play the attacking spin options. If they play Doherty again and drop Maxwell we are an absolute joke. I thought it was a poor decision to play Maxwell and Henriques in the same side BUT Maxwell proved to be extremely handy with the ball on those turning wickets. Play Bird + Henriques to keep it tight if you want but be aggressive with the spinners.

Hughes is on a steep learning curve. But he is one of the most talented bats we have. Just like Lyon, dropping them now is not going to help us in any way shape or form. going forward. Let them learn.

He got 6 test matches split across 3 countries and 4 different series and he averaged 29.

The bloke he will more than likely be replacing has averaged 27 from his last 20 test matches, khawaja hasn't made the most of his 6 tests but i hope people don't complain when he comes in for hughes because hughes has had far more opportunities in recent years and done even less.

This is Australia's best chance to win I reckon. This pitch won't be a rank turner and will definitely have more carry and a little bit of seam movement early on. Kinda similar to Adelaide Oval, unless of course they make it super dry and try to change the basic nature of the track.

Haddin should be picked because he's in the best form of any keeper in the country this season. Test cricket isn't an AFL season - you pick players to win you test matches now.

Hartley is probablythe best gloveman, and deserves to go. But for India, you probably want someone who has been there before given there will be no acclimatisation time or games. Unfortunately, that means Haddin.
