Can anyone tell why this processed has to be outsourced to people like Frawley an Wallace? Is this normal process or some cruel and unusual punishment in the small print of the penalties? We might as well just put the question to SEN talk back and see what the callers suggest. Both major failures as coaches and don't seem to have to much to say in the way of analysis in my experience...
At the moment we are definitely without a senior coach and defender coach, also likely to lose our midfield coach. Add to that we have a forward coach that hasn't been doing too well and should have his position reviewed.

The board are not experts so they need assistance in getting the right people to fill those vacancies, regardless whether you like frawley and Wallace, they certainly have done the rounds and know what is required. They aren't being appointed as the coaches!

I'd be more worried if the board was trying to make these appointments themselves. They recognise that they need experienced guidance here so have done the right thing.

I understand Frawley being there, as mentioned before.
The only reason I see Wallace there is so that he cant put his hat in the ring to coach. Stroke of genius by whomever thought that up.

Since you're probably in the minority, looking beyond the Hird cult, do you reckon it'll occur?
I think Hird will come back. I wish none of this ever happened, but it has, and now we're a decimated club with no staff and no draft picks. And yet in 12 months we're supposed to welcome Hird back with open arms and an extended contract as thanks for bringing the club to its knees. I still think of him as a champion player, but I'd like to forget his stint as a coach.

It's a hard one for me, the players obviously want him back and it showed this year they play for him.

I want his side/truth before I can judge but I doubt we will see that come out.

ask yourself why the club would extend his contract and why players want him back though

Could it be? Could the great man be coming home?

Don't think it necessarily means at Essendon, they would be mates. Ex-teammates and all.

Hope he does though.

I feel like it's becoming an urgent situation, especially since clubs are already speaking with potential trade bait across the comp. Of the names I've heard tossed up I like Caracella, Voss and Harvey. I presume Sumich will stay at West Coast though someone should call as a matter of due diligence. I'm not sure who else... Lappin? The poll options above should probably be updated.

He took as from shit to a top 4 side in 2-3 years so I certainly don't want to forget him as a coach. Can't wait to get him back, but in the mean time need a suitable "stand in" to take the reigns...

The players aren't so crash hot on Nathan Buckley or Michael Voss.

But Buckley and Voss didn't waste two years - We should have made finals in 2012/2013 - Stuffed fitness program stopped 2012, and supplements scandal derailed 2013. Vossy eventually paid for his crazy recruiting, and Buckley tried to change the culture of a premiership team. I give Buckley two more years to right the ship.

how does one even stand upright with such a long bow in your hand?

From what i gather (without actually knowing) we've approached sledge to return in some capacity, and i think he will to be honest, but that tweet confirms nothing

Doss Jab

Done. Done like a dinner.

Also completely agree that this seems to be drawing an incredibly long bow.

Brisbane won a final in 2009, then recruited a bunch of spuds and Brent Staker and Matt Maguire. I would say they've wasted 4 years and counting.

Collingwood had a premiership and a 20-2 season in their two years before Bucks. They might struggle to make the eight next year. I'd say they're well and truly wasting a dynasty here.
