In all fairness to some who went at this, I did mention earlier in the year that it might be his last year.

I didn’t have stupidity about Insignificance but I did feel that he may have lost his touch and his back problems starting to slow him down in terms of his mobility and flexibility.

Am I happy to be wrong about that.

What a champ

His assist game is nearly the most impressive thing about him currently. Think he had 11 score involvements last night.

Anyone worried he might be made a scapegoat for his “hit” on Fritsch? Ch 7 called it an elbow but it looked like an open hand. At very worst, a fine??

He doesn’t get fined.
He gets weeks.
That’s how he’s been treated in the past and that how it will continue
The piece of Shit Christenson will make sure of it

You mean Christian?

It wasn’t a hit to the head. Low impact. Fine

ahh this thread....

the gift that keeps on giving.

Big Tomma is on fire. And you can bet the flat earth that they'll be filling the space in front of him and praying we drop it on his head this week.

You know the Good bloke will be game planning to stop him across CHB.

Now is the perfect time for Menz, Crameri, PFD, hell even Henry or 2E to become the bag kicker while they are all looking for the 26.

Make that forward line dangerous and all the defenders accountable and if the MF can deliver like that last 1/4 again, look out.

Go Catters

I know the Hawkins won the Carji in 2012 & was AA the same year, but is it fair to argue that he is having a better season this year then he did then or at any other stage of his career?

Sure he averaged 12.6 disposals, 6.5 marks and 2.8 goals a game in 2012, but he seems to be having a greater impact on games this year because it's not a case of him needing to kick goals to have a positive impact as he has more strings to his blue regards now.

Sure he is averaging 2.7 goals per match (Sat night helped with that), but he is also averaging career highs in:
- disposals with 15.1,
- marks with 7.1, and
- goal assists with 1.2

As fans we have spoken about how good Stewart has been going with many talking up his Carji chances over the first half of the season, but much like Selwood have we kinda undersold just how good Hawkins season has been to date? Not to take things away from the consistency of Stewart who has been super impressive this year, but the longer the season goes on the more I'm thinking that Hawkins & Selwood address going to find themselves in the top 3 come Carji night
