What about if Cats did a deal with WCE for exclusivity on TK trade, by which Schofield goes into the tribunal to give some sort of negligible impact statement in favour of Hawkins!?
I can't tell if this is serious? If they were to do this, its publically saying Schofield flopped. Yes there is no justics with what Greene got away with but at the end of the day, Hawkins did a stupid thing, and will cop his right whack.

Three weeks without registering a goal, finally finds a bit of form, and then gets duly suspended for a crude and undisciplined act. 👏

He has let himself, the club and the supporters down here. I can't see how this can be overturned at the tribunal.

Argue insufficient force. Schofield testifies he stayed down to try and milk a free. You could also argue down to careless in that it was in play as Hawkins was trying to push back to create a target and Schofield came across in front to impede his run.

Precarious position.

We desperately need Hawkins, but there's a real chance the players focus could be severely derailed with the distraction of an appeal that's unlikely to be successful.

Do they play that card?

If they do, and win, it'd be a huge boost to morale.

But if they don't win, it'll plant seeds of doubt.

So do they just leave it alone and move on quickly?

Mate if Schofield had come off for treatment no matter how minor I'd be with you but my gut feeling is he was trying to milk the system and went down like a cheap hooker and Hawks left carrying the can.

Its a free hit, definitely challenge... They wont suspend him for 2 if they lose the appeal.

Tigers fans will be in outrage if he get's off though, would be funny to see their melts if so.

How many times has Greene been suspended, 4 times out of 16 tribunal reviews/meetings...

Tomahawk, on the other hand... nearly always suspended lol

Because the AFL want GWS to succeed, hence why they get away with everything.
Fairness and level playing field isn't something the AFL is interested in, they are a business first and foremost and make decisions based on what's best for the business.

Logical. If we can get it down from low to negligible it will get him off. Which it was.

It will require schoffield to be very good citizen and come out and help Tom. Which I hope he does..

Replacement does that and we win - who plays the following week, Hawkins or the replacement who kicked 10 goals in a prelim?

Idk... coastguard?

I mean... that is actually a delightful conundrum to have. Maybe someone else gets dropped for the big man.

Yep, corrupt.

Worst part is they know we know they know we know...... But they carry on with it blatantly anyway cos they also know there's sweet all we can do about it.
