There's about 5 cheap touches in there and 45 that weren't.
Don't know how anyone can criticise Tom Mitchell - hes an absolute gun and without him I doubt Hawks would have been competitive in many (if any games this year).
The dude has the hawks on his back this year
If Tom Mitchell gets 50 possessions vs Collingwood and no one is watching does it make a sound?
Thought his game lacked impact. Had 4 dinky little give and receive handballs at half back in the first 3 minutes of the game. Gets a lot of it, doesn't do much damage.
I don't think you understand how disposals work. Or you don't realise that it's 50 disposals, not 50 touches.Mitchell 50 touches
2nd Smith 26 touches
Collingwood:
Pendlebury 36
Treloar 34
Adams 33
Sidebottom 27
clearly cost hawks the game by refusing to give to anyone else
I like how it equates 67 Swan disposals to 53 Ablett disposals. Good ol Wikipedia! This is not correct.
Swan's best was about 50, against Port Adelaide
lol, nope.Vickery got 5 and is on more money .
34 of his disposals were effective...Mitchell having 50 touches was exactly the same as Sam Jacobs having 80 hitouts last week.
Useless as they were ineffective.
When they start including the metres gained by the bloke Mitchell gives the ball to, we will have a clear picture. All I know is, the 50 times Mitchell had the ball, Collingwood didn't. There we also 50 occasions Mitchell brought teammates into the game. Give the guy some credit.
Pity it was alot of clearances and contested possession it's not Auskick where every kid gets a turn FFS.Mitchell 50 touches

Exactly!Surprised he's being questioned. He went out and played his normal inside style game which he's very good at. He'll never be a run and gun weapon, he's an inside player who needs good players around him to finish off his hard work.
It's the other midfielders who should be questioned. Woeful after QT.
I'll take Toms 50 over Aishs 11, De Goeys 10 & Fasolos 8Sydney let him walk. He was getting 60 possies in the 2's and was still refused a game beacuse he does zero damage with his posessions.
He is limited as a player, simply a ball magnet who can't hurt you with his disposal. Tom Mitchell getting 20 a game is enough, serviceable and is solid, 50 a game ends up hurting your team
