If you had to pick a team from the last ten years by position, he'd be a walk up start in the forward pocket.

It's hard to call an All Australian (let alone a four time AA like Enright) underrated. Kelly, Enright and Dale Morris are all stars in my book.

Fair enough, although he feels to have been around forever already.

Just one of those unassuming players that doesn't get beaten and contributes more than just his own role.
As much as the talk was about Duigan this year, Laidler was the more consistent and damaging HBF'er for us.

The fact that you (and many others) don't know who Nick Smith is, is part of the reason he is so underrated.

You show me someone who has said Dale Thomas is a dud who just does a couple of flashy things a game in the last two years and I will show you a complete idiot. I don't remember a single person questioning his spot in the All-Australian side.

This post alone says to me that he is overrated. Don't get me wrong, the guy is a gun, and fully deserved his AA, but is he really a top 10 player? Personally i can't get him that high if i try, with him being behind Swan, Pendles, Judd, Ablett, Mitchell and Selwood, as just 6 midfielders off the top of my head. That's before you even get to players like Buddy, Cloke, Goodes, as well as other midfielders who are probably around his level, such as Dal Santo, Bartel, Murphy, etc.

As i said though, the guy is still a huge gun, just not really close to top 10 imo.

Take out Kelly and definitely Enright. Well acknowledged as guns now. Be tempted to include Jordan Lewis, played some great football in 2011, better than I thought he was capable of.

Everyone thinks he is a spud, who adds no value to the team. When in actual fact, he played some very good football this year before getting injured, and has done some very good jobs on big power forwards. Dominated Jonathan Brown a in 2010 (2009?) with a broken hand. He is underrated.
