What does Sante have to gain by going for a good role? If three village go tonight he's most likely dead tomorrow and Coven win.

We’re certainly in sante’s corner as villagers. Coven can’t win unless they can outnumber evil benign, so we need to lynch Coven tomorrow (preferably Medusa).

Sante is the last lynch in the sequence, and so his best interest is to extend this out as long as possible. The downside for him is that he also can’t win without clearing the neutral benign.
