He's the kind of guy that is happy to have a small close group of friends rather than be a part of a group. As such, can be considered a bit of an outsider or hard to get along with.

Add onto that his relationships, moved to Melbourne (and Collingwood as a result) because his partner at the time wanted to come home - now something similar is occuring.

If Buckley see's that:
1. hes not gelling with the group
2. hes worried that the long distance relationship may affect his on field performance

With regard to Stephenson, even if he was on $600k next year, I don't think we would be rushing him out the door if we thought there was plenty of upside.

However, it seems there are bigger issues here with him. Whether it be his attitude etc, the Pies are comfortable waving goodbye. If we don't get a high 1st round pick from him, and no club is keen to offer it, then his reputation around the traps must be of concern.
He has shown glimpses of being a matchwinner. He is a rising star winner. Basically right off this year, and he has been an excellent talent in previous years. Something smells badly here, and it's not my week old undies.
