Completely with you here. Youngsters need that playing time to develop. A pseudo-rebuild phase is the best time to do it I think.
I'm expecting us to churn through the non-core elements of the list beginning next year - giving opportunities to the kids to see if they are up to it. The kids should get their chances. The way I see it, next year there will be about 7 regular senior spots up for grabs - Treloar, Stepho, Phillips, WHE, Thomas, Mayne, Roughy, Greenwood are either gone already or likely to be phased out sooner rather than later- plus throw in injuries and a lot of opportunities will be opened as we move from a team believing we're in contention into a team looking to reset for our next challenge - we've only added Quaynor, Roughy, Noble and Daicos as regulars over a two year period. That rate of change is going to accelerate quickly.

Matthew Parker is terrible and would be a shocking pick up. Come at me.

Nah that's your opinion. That's the beauty of a democracy. For now..

Yes and no. Hawks had no trouble pinging it around with Mitchell, Lewis, Sewell etc
They had Hill and Smith on the wings for starters. All their forward were quick as well and could get separation from their direct opponents in Buddy, Roughead, Rioli, Puopolo and Bruest. Gunston was probably their slowest forward and he was no slouch either.

I'm with Bryza; Parker is terrible. Please steer clear Pies. :praying:
And yet everyone will be whinging about Josh Thomas and Callum Brown racking up 4 possession, 0 goal games all year
