We can still trade picks throw so maybe something like 54 and 42 for 35 we do lose a few points but one less player to delist if we want to keep someone or trade it for next year
I know about the ability to trade picks. I just seen multiple posts saying if a second mini trade period was set up Power would have to trade Dunkley? Is this just a hypothetical or is there genuine talk of it

Look what they paid for him when they got him - we’d have taken that for Dunks!

ADAM Treloar is finally a Magpie after Collingwood and Greater Western Sydney concluded their protracted trade negotiations for the young star on Wednesday afternoon.

As expected, Collingwood gave up its first-round picks this year (No.7 overall) and next year's first pick for Treloar, while it also gave No.65 to the Giants.

In addition to Treloar, the Giants also passed their second-round draft pick this year (No.28 overall) back to the Pies.

Isn’t that the game that landed peter rhode the full time coaching gig!
Looks like it :) They demolished the Ponsford stand. I have a bit of it in my garage thanks fred cook We played the Pies in the last game of the season. Huge game for Judas with 6 goals and Dimma went well GetDimmaBack

Wiki: Power started his career at the Western Bulldogs. The Bulldogs selected him in the 2001 AFL Draft, with their first round selection, number 10 overall. Power made his debut in 2002, playing six games, and amassed 84 games in total over five years with the Bulldogs.
Towards the end of the 2002 season, the resignation of incumbent coach Terry Wallace led to Rohde being made caretaker coach for the final round clash with Collingwood at the MCG which the Bulldogs won.
Just after 1:50:00 mark Power15 kicks a goal - prob his only one for the match and they don't show the jumper grab.

He hasnt even played 100 games for the pies.

Hopefully he plays 100 with us and we get rights to the offspring from 2 athletes with elite genetics. That will be a win for the ages.

Pretty ridiculous that the following players would be Essendon’s best inside mid:

Bont
Macrae
Dunkley
Liber
Treloar
Smith

we get that beast of a midfield brigade while they get a bunch of pansies who are more worried about getting snapped by the paparazzi on chapel street than winning a game of footy.

I’ve heard Bellchambers has already booked in to get their top 10 picks a fedora and some ripped jeans. ****in waste of an organisation.

The next game against them will be priceless.

Unless we hear something different from the Dunks camp, I expect him to go in the second trade period (for 2 first rounders).

Dodos pride won’t allow for that.
Bumbers and their PR machine have already started about picks 6,7 and 8 and how the draft haul will set them up etc etc

Wouldn’t be surprised if they have already stopped their pursuit of Dunkley and Dunkley is left to pick up the pieces.

There is an article saying maybe lika one day window before the draft to do trades as the list sizes were unknown

Yep, well done guys.

As a pies fan I am shattered and baffled.

Ned Guy is beyond incompetent. And that interview was utterly incriminating.

Good luck next year - and pray you never hire anyone from the Pies list management team.

Genuinely feel sorry for Pies fans to see three favourites treated like that. Hopefully they have sorted out the salary cap now.

I'd argue next year would be a better crop in which to have several top 10 picks. Good luck to Essendon winning the draft

they have such a good record of winning the draft, recruiting wisely and development of their own talent......

Oh.....

True. They're already talking it up so that might be the direction they're going in.

Though, unless they trade up, it's pretty even after the top 4 or 5 so another batch of Aaron Francis types most likely.

So you guys are officially the Bullies Dogs!!

absolutely took collingwood to the cleaners and gave them the super spin cycle

if ever there was a case for a team picking at the rotting corpse of a festering club - this was it

I only wish we could have enjoyed some of the spoils

I have some sympathy for him.

A young guy probably feeling a bit disillusioned about where he stands at the club and Essendon thought they exploit the situation and we would roll over. They are looking pretty pathetic over this.

I would really like to see the club get around him now and put it all in the past.
I agree to a point but at 23 and having signed big contracts you need t take responsibility for your life. Leadership is a complicated thing and it does not mean everyone needs to be 100% like you

maybe the osterich and the coach understand that more than your bitter old man

Remember when the only player we were talking about getting from Collingwood this year was Mason Cox.

I can’t believe how many so called commentators trying to make out like that was a fair offer and the Dogs were somehow being ridiculous to knock it back. At least some like SOS quite clearly pointed out that we were under no obligation to trade Dunkley and it was always up to Essendon to offer us a deal that we couldn’t refuse. Unlike Collingwood, we weren’t pushing our player out the door and didn’t need to dump salary, in fact it appears we had plenty of cap space. Well done Dogs!

If a player who is clearly top 10 at your club, 2nd in the B&F just last year and in the All Australian squad of 40, and has two years left to run on his recently signed contract, is targeted by another club, that club should have expected from the start to have to pay way over the odds, not just a fair offer. The Bulldogs should always be expected to do what’s in their best interests and no one else’s. And Dunkley won’t throw his toys out of the cot because he is too proud as a footballer to do that and should actually work harder now to win a lead role in what is one of if not the best midfields in the whole AFL.

That offer from Essendon should have told Dunkley that they really weren’t that serious about getting him. I doubt he goes through that again next year with Essendon. Maybe he looks somewhere else, or maybe he sees another Premiership at the Dogs as a real possibility with this list and him being a leader of it with his best mate.

Either way, Sammy Power has shown the entire AFL world that the Bulldogs are a strong team who is getting stronger. Absolutely proud of my club today, just as much as in 2016. Bring on 2021 back at Marvel with this team. Love what they are doing.
Love it ex RB!
