I dont understand why Dunks would leave Melbourne and go to SA? Just dense..

If he goes so be it and we get another top 10 pick, It is what it is sadly. Although i dont think he will for some reason..

I think JJ is gone also which is a shame because he would be handy as depth or in Forward line.
I dont think we will get much for Crozier sadly as he hasnt played really all year. Will get loose change for him
I want Hunter out as he's a liability now. Although i think he's still worth a late 2nd rounder or an early 3rd rounder.
Im spewing about Schache.. What a waste.. I would personally persue with him but i think his papers are stamped

Martin, Wallis , Butler gone as the previous poster has alluded to. Piss off McComb too. He will never make it..

IN:
Definitely Target Lobb.
We will get Jones.
And probably 3-4 other players through the draft and trades etc

As a #1 priority, I would focus on defense all off season and make it a lot harder to be scored against. ( Good Defense wins finals)

2023 team: Id play Naughton up back to sure up the defense and allow JUH and Darcy and English all to develop up forward and English interchange with Lobb for 30/70 split Ruck Duties. Caleb Daniel must be played on half forward flank. He's much more dangerous there. He's a liability down back and is wasted down there.....He's could address our issue going inside 50 hitting up targets better than this years debacle ..

FB: Khamis/Gardner, Jones , Keath
HB: Duryea / Dale, Naughton, Richards
C: , Libba, B.Smith, Treloar
HF: West, Darcy, Daniel
FF: Weightman, English, JUH
R: Lobb, Bont, Macrae
Int: Mclean, Williams, McNeil
SUB: Garcia

Key position depth: Sweet, Cordy, Bruce, Kharmis, Gardner
Small/Mid defensive depth: O'brien, Bedendo, Raak, Cleary
Mid depth: R.Smith, Scott,
Forward Depth: Scott, Hannan, VDM, Rowe

Got to get rid of the plodders now.

Cordy, McComb, Martin, Crozier all delisted or traded. Not sure if Butler will make it or not, but one more year.

Shame if JJ goes as for Dunks he's in great form so cash in. First rounder or a player and a second.

Want to see West (stay), Garcia, Cleary, Khamis and Bedendo as regulars next year .

One back up rucks, there’s usually one on the bench, if all 3 are playing 75% game time - in reality there’s very rarely 3 sitting in the forward line at the same time.

Most clubs run this setup and have no such issue like we do with defensive instincts.
Yep our issues are extensive, multi factored but small things can contribute

And you think Port's culture is better?

If we're talking professionalism ... they have guys like Powell Pepper

I wasn't talking about professionalism. Whatever it is at our Club, Dunks doesn't like it. I don't purport to know what.

That's clutching at straws really... you don't think other players would be disappointed after that?

Well someone said half of them were smiling and smacking their opponents on the back at the end of the game.....this happened to Essendon during the season after a shallacking and they copped a barrage for it.

This dunkley thing is a real mystery. The ITK posters were pretty confident 2 days ago. The ITK on the lions board also said he's staying I believe

If those 5 are regulars next season, I think we can kiss finals goodbye. Not at the stage yet to hold down a best 22 spot for most of them.

Retire:
Mitch Wallis
Steph Martin
Taylor Duryea

Delist:
Josh Schache
Louis Butler

Hoping that Dunkley and West re-sign

Not sure if JJ is a UFA

That's not a hard cut, but based on who's OOC and/or sounding like they're going.

Duryea close to signing a 1 year extension

JJ is an unrestricted free agent

Wallis may actually sign a 1 year extension

We all know what happened to norf when they cut too deep.

Not good re. Dunkley meeting with port.
When?

So much to give up in Victoria - friendships, business interests, a big following on socials, family. All of that gone for $$$? When our offer wouldn’t be much less?

If Keath has Jones and Naughton helping him down there he will be much better off (make it happen Bevvo)
