I don’t think we have the talent to spare to trade any of these players out to be honest. But not getting a maximum return on outgoing players has been a huge problem for us.

Stringer, Dunkley and Hunter combined netted us one very late first rounder and a few seconds. That’s for a leading goal kicker and two B&F winners, all traded during their primes. The best we got from Dahlhaus, Roughead, Cordy, Lipinski and Young going was a third rounder for Lipinski.

If we’re going to move blokes on anyway be decisive and do it while they have value and not once they’re circling the bargain bin or we have little trade leverage.

That is List Management by an astute List Manager

To be fair. She did get the Hardwick to Gold Coast right and first.

To be extra fair. She did have the inside rail on the info after Hardwick used her as his stalking horse when he had her publicly undermine Dew.

The rest of the time she's just an unaccountable hack with her own or other peoples axe to grind who isn't ever called to account for the things she gets wrong.

To be extra double fair. Nobody in AFLMedia is ever called to account. Unless of course they get caught on a hot mike disparaging a colleague. But of course they are only ever a few months away from being rehabilitated and welcomed back into that wretched hive of scum and villainy.
Yep, fair call - albeit I think she clearly has sources from within Richmond given the family connections there. Outside of Richmond, I think she gets scuttlebutt from people that are trying to leak via her.

Lest we forget this masterpiece of journalism too Nine Network, The Age and journalists Caroline Wilson and Sam McClure issue formal apologies to Collective Mind over 2018 Adelaide Crows Pre-Season Training Camp media coverage

Probably the only one but I'm not keen on Lohmann at all.
Yeah me neither, wouldn’t be upset with him just wouldn’t make him a priority - is it fair to say he projects as a poor man’s Weightman?

Anyone we add to our forward line mix needs to be an elite finisher both at goals and at hitting other players up.

I’m still keen on Dev Robertson although with Treloar staying It’s hard to make room for him with the game time he’d be looking for, with Bont, Libba, Treloar and trying to find more room for Baz, Macrae & even West. Probably better we take a similar type in the draft (big bodied, quick and defensive minded) so they can aim to come through after Libba, Macrae & Treloar.

Hopefully Clarke plays a decent amount of games next year and we draft a HF Wether that be Watson, Wilson, De La Rue, De Mattia or Garcia there are lots to choose from.

For the draft experts out there, on the Lions pick of 17 (probably 20 when applying academy selections etc), we secured for Dunks.…

What do we do there? Will this be burnt on Croft bid?

I think we should strongly consider trading English.

When the whips are cracking in big games, he just doesn’t deliver consistently enough to warrant how much he will cost to keep.

I think the return we get for him (high draft pick) will set our midfield up for years to come.

I have faith that we can bring in another cheap ruckman to cover. Plus the fact we already have Jordan sweet, Sam Darcy and Lobb.

The obvious move for me would be to trade for Grundy, but that probably won’t happen.

I don't think Lohmann does at all
Lachie McNeil and Arthur Jones combined for 26 AFL games this year and his VFL form was better than both of them. He’s a superior goal kicker to each of them and at least as good pressure-wise. There’s a reason he went first round and those two didn’t.

Another way to look at this is to think about our strategy with Lobb and Darcy.

The idea currently has been for Darcy to replace Lobb in the future as that 2nd ruck/Forward.

Well instead of that I suggest that we plan for Darcy to become the main ruckman in a few years time, and in the meantime, we have Darcy competing with lobb as the 2nd ruck to support our new cheap first ruck.

I think Darcy in 2-3 years will be an ideal ruckman…

Yes his VFL form was fine but his AFL form was shite
