You do realise I was replying to someone crying we always lose. Can we only compare what we cry about?
We win some deals, we lose some deals.
I prefer to look at the trade period as an overall thing.... Lost a player for fair value, picked up someone else on the cheap is a win.
I’m sick of hearing about him to be honest. Feel bad for all the media / fan bashing Baz has gone through, for no particular reason.
I want him to stay, but just glad either way we will have a decision soon.
It will all be over soon and if Bailey wants to leave then so be it
He could've ended the stand off earlier if he just let everyone know what his plans are for next year. If he did that no one would be trying to get the scoop and no one would really care anymore. But we know Baz loves the attention so he probably loves his name being in the media every 2 seconds.

What stand off? Just because the media are constantly speculating because they have to talk about something doesn't mean Baz and the club aren't on the same page
If we have only put a 2 year deal in front of him rather than 5 like other teams are offering, do we really want to keep him?
Tom Morris saying rival clubs could get Lobb for “the right price”? What does that even mean? He’s contracted for another two years so the only party you’d be able to satisfy with ‘the right price’ would be the club

With Morris you count the number of times he uses phrases like 'I'm hearing' or 'my mail' or 'don't know for certain, but'. It's all 2+2=5 horse****.
He makes calculated guesses, hedges his bets, throws a dart at the board and hopes it lands and if it doesn't most don't remember because today's news is tomorrows fish and chip wrapping. He's got absolutely no idea what the Dogs and/or Smith are doing and neither would even give him the time of day.
Morris is the worst of the worst when it comes to ambulance chasing. A muckracker that would rather be first with a bull**** made up story than be a legitimate reporter.
After his last two months it will have to be something substantial.

Yeah we all know what his integrity is like with footy news. Just trying to decipher what he meant by that comment.

Who plays CHB if he goes? It’s not like Buss or Croft will be able to slot in there round one.
You wouldn’t give up a key plank of the side for the likely pick in the 30s or 40s that would be offered.
Will need to be something more than what we paid imo.
Will the club back him to bring it again next season? He's always been flakey.
He hasn't been flakey at CHB. Very very consistent

Sanders can't play? Extremely harsh. Also absolute BS given he has played a lot of VFL games, same for Khamis. Both have spent half the season in the VFL. I personally think the rule should be changed to exclude first and second year players from the criteria. Helps keep them developing, and it is not like they are going to provide a massive advantage or anything.
Really wanted to see how Sanders played tbh.

Whats the rule for VFL Finals anyway? How is Hawkins playing in the finals when he's been at AFL level all year?

Because Geelong are still alive in the AFL finals.
Competition rules state that players must have featured in six VFL games during that particular season, and played no more than 12 AFL games, to be eligible to play in the VFL finals. However, if an AFL team is still alive in the finals, you can select anyone from your squad in the VFL.
I thought they made some changes after Rioli played against us in the 2014 GF even though he didn't play a single VFL game all year.
Not sure when the rule changed but for the last decade or so it's always been if the AFL team is still alive then you can play anyone in the VFL as mentioned in the last sentence of my previous post.
