Hello Eagles fans!

The embedded resources below are kept up to date by the trade board mods (as much as possible – we are human after all). Enjoy!

They certainly are. Make them pay through the nose and they’ve shown they are willing to do that with JHF offer. I’d do this ONLY if it stops ROB from splitting this year’s pick.

WCE
OUT: F1, 36, 43, HEdwards, Rotham
IN: 7, 10, 14, F1 (ADEL)

GWS
OUT: 7
IN: 20, 34, Himmelberg

ADELAIDE
OUT: 10, 14, 20, F1 (WCE) Himmelberg
IN: 36, 43, F1 (WCE), H Edwards, Rotham

Draft
1-Reid
7-Curtin
10-Windsor/Wilson/Murphy
14-Hardeman/Demattia
22-ZZ/Schoenmaker
57-Collard/Livingstone NGA match
PSD-Brockman

Still have a decent F1, go after Logan McDonald, Busslinger and some FAs next year and the list is looking pretty good.
In a nutshell trading 1-2 for 7,10,14 and 11-14.

If we trading or swapping future 1st, rather a team that will slide or fall.

Think Geelong a better option F1 for 8 and their future 1st

Fair reasoning but you reckon getting back 8 and Cats F1 is a better deal than getting back 7,10,14 and Crows F1? FWIW I think Crows and Cats will finish pretty similar next year but agree Adelaide more likely of the two to go higher or push into the 8.

I think all this hype will make it harder for them to split the pick now.

They’ve already pissed us off with one ridiculous offer.
Agreed. What the stupid offers has done is cemented the resolve and means that an even bigger offer is required to budge the position.
Sometimes playing the BODE card just means you have to cough up more if you do actually get serious.

If I owned a 900K house and someone offered me 1Mill, I'd have to consider it. If someone offered me 250K and a couple of tent pitches in Cervantes I'd tell them to f*o. And don't come back unless you're willing to offer 1.5Mill.

In other words, don't piss off the holder of the asset you want because to do so just drives up the price.

It is becoming Reid or a Godfather with Godmother sweetener thanks to the total dickheadness of North.

Brockman, 20, won’t be swayed in his decision and is determined to land at the Eagles.
I actually like a motivated player.
When you get one who is absolutely motivated, wants to prove himself and has family and other reasons to prove himself you often see a major step up.

He may spud it up, but with serious desire and attitude I'm pretty confident he'll be twice the player he was at Hawthorn.

Saying the opposite this morning is Gossage.

7, 10, 14, F14 - for F 1-3

Take it and run (Rotham off the list a year early is a bonus, would probably prefer to keep Edwards but if that is the ultimate cost then it is worth it.

I know 10 & 14 will push out, 14 (20-22 on draft night) may be Collard range now which is fine/great.

10 I believe there are a couple of outside mids and/or KPF’s in that range which is a need.

7 will guarantee one of Curtin/O’Sullivan as well.

I think there is no way that deal is offered BTW, it is too good to refuse (plus obviously players generally don’t move this late in trade month without it having been flagged earlier). I get the desire to keep our F1st, but provided we can extract fair+ value out of it each year we can keep using our future to bring forward the rebuild for a while and at a point we will be huge beneficiaries when we eventually move up the ladder.

It is also not completely ridiculous to say we finish 16th next year. 3 for 7, 10, 14, 14 - start the car (even at 1 that is value)

TLDR - not happening as it won’t be offered

If i see another trade proposal that sees us trading out our F1, unless it's for North's F1 and addtional early picks, or picks 2 and 3 this year, i'm going to throw my monitors across the workplace.

Will be difficult to explain to HR why i took such action, but after explaining what AFL is, and the stupidty of the trades proposed, i'm hoping i'll get off with just a warning. Otherwise might be suicidal to explain to the wife why i've been fired and that we'll need to sell the house.

Hawks poster saying Brockman will be done today for a 3rd or 4th rounder

Also got this from the Hawks board

WC want Curtain and Nth won’t give 2 & 3 (reported that they will take Duursma and McKercher) we can clearly make the best, and only suitable offer for Harley that still enables WC to get Curtain. I predict that, later today we will trade Brockman, pick 4 and our F1 for pick 1.

Lets see who's closer to the mark haha

If trading our F1 meant we KEEP pick 1 this year instead of splitting it would you still hold the same view?

Lol. Pick 4 and what will turn out as somewhere between pick 4-6 next year. No thanks. Brockman doesn't come into the calculations.

The desparation of Hawkthon and North to get Harely is to be commended. Their offers though are laughable.

Listening on Trade Radio and heard that Duggo has met with St Kilda. In Fairness it came from a caller so not sure how much truth. But it would be interesting to see what value he has on the market.

Is a player who I would be happy to keep. Obvious leadership qualities, in an age bracket that we are lacking quality and always has a crack.

But for the right price I definitely think he is worth trading. St Kilda at this stage only have pick 13 and pick 34. 13 too high and 34 too low in my opinion.

I'd have the same reaction if we split out pick 1 this year. The only way i'd be ok with trading pick 1 this year is for pick 2 and pick 3. That's not going to happen.
I think if we don’t split this year there’s every chance we split next year. I’d rather keep Reid and if the above offer is on the table that’s as good as it’s going to get for F1. If ROB said we aren’t splitting this year or next year I’d be delighted.

He's ******* around from the Dev Robertson s**t. Covering both sides.

To be fair, his comment on Robertson was that we were confident. Listening to ROB in his interview a week back, he sounded confident too and Eagles might have thought it was looking likely.

In the end, the thing Eagles are best at is making money. What is the best way to develop some hype and sell some new merchandise? Bringing in our first number 1 pick, get the Victorian kid who can do it all and play most positions. Takes big marks, fends off, kicks goals and is a match winner. Keeping pick 1 and taking Harley is as much a good business deal for us and will generate even more revenue for years to come.
