Hello Eagles fans!

The embedded resources below are kept up to date by the trade board mods (as much as possible – we are human after all). Enjoy!

Won’t be offered, but that deal gets done if it is.

We would have 4 picks inside the (undiluted by Academy jumps) top 15 players available to us

And retain a (almost certainly lower) future 1st.

Especially because we are getting 1 elite midfielder in Reid (no way we trade #1 if we get this deal) already, this would be giving up another elite mid (future 1st) for 3 high level talents in other positions (plus whatever is there at the F1st).

Crows offered what ended up being 5,6 and 18 for JHF in a draft without all the NGA BS. So 10 (14) ,14 (19) 20 (25) and F1 in a compromised draft doesn’t seem outside the realm of possibility? The pick 7 comes from GWS for their part in the deal, not the Crows.

It's unfathomable that the club that finished bottom is going to take its natural second pick closer to pick 30.

Eagles should be on the phone to the AFL asking when will they let us take Collard.

A month ago our R2 was pick 19 and the first pick on night 2

It’s now pick 23 and no longer the first pick on night 2

Even worse is Fremantle look good to get 19 from Collingwood for Schultz and 21 from St Kilda for Henry which are both before our pick.

Using those picks they could take both Collard and Zakostelsky

What was a prime pick has been devalued massively

At the current rate it's going to blow out past 40 anyway and we can match an academy bid no sweat

Missed this - why is it no longer the first pick of night 2?

What would we get for each do we think

Yeo is probably a pick 25?
Duggan I think is pick 21 + future 2nd?
Tom Cole seems a weird one to me. His foot is buggered . I dont think the move happens when they do a medical so im forgetting this

All up I think Duggan may be the one to move. 21 should get us something good

In a nutshell trading 1-2 for 7,10,14 and 11-14.

If we trading or swapping future 1st, rather a team that will slide or fall.

Think Geelong a better option F1 for 8 and their future 1st

I do not see Geelong improving their ladder position in 2024. They could even drop a spot or two.

However the Crows are decent to deal with and likely offer a fairer deal.

And next year in a midfielders draft. Top 10 are good mids.

Any of those boys (preferably Cole) and our F3 for pick 21 and 25 I’d do. We have a lot of players who can play HBF.
I think Duggan is the one to move though. He would be on more money longer term and HBF isnt a desperate need. Especially if we want to bring through Burgiel and also look to move Yeo there long term

FB: Cole, Barass, Hough
HB : Yeo, McGovern, Hunt

You’re right. Carlton will want 2024 picks to pay for campo bros and with the 20s picks slipping back 5+ spots this year I think 21+25 for F3 and any of those boys is good for both sides. I’d be devastated losing Yeo or Duggo but business is business. They might want to chase another flag anyway and Duggo obviously another Victorian who we struggled to retain along with Boots etc

Listening on Trade Radio and heard that Duggo has met with St Kilda. In Fairness it came from a caller so not sure how much truth. But it would be interesting to see what value he has on the market.

Is a player who I would be happy to keep. Obvious leadership qualities, in an age bracket that we are lacking quality and always has a crack.

But for the right price I definitely think he is worth trading. St Kilda at this stage only have pick 13 and pick 34. 13 too high and 34 too low in my opinion.
Caller had no idea. Suggested Duggan would help with their ball use...

Its definetly Carlton

With Gunston asking to be returned to the Hawks (noting he is under contract) I wonder if we can facilitate that as part of the Brockman trade.

F3rd to Brisbane
Gunston to Hawks
Brockman to us

Seems like one of those trades where all teams feel they paid more than they wanted to or were getting in, and lose/lose is generally as palatable as win/win.

Uncontracted Gunston clearly not worth that much at 31yo, they paid 48 + F4 last year (to ensure McStay compo wasn’t watered down).

Believed to have a lot of bad blood with both Bell and Longmuir.

Reckons Bell screws his players over in contracts and didn't like it when Longmuir dropped him as his agent.

Freo since apparently instructing all players they sign to either drop or avoid management through C.Young.

C.Young in turn is getting in the ear of all of his clients to leave Freo or avoid signing with them if heading back to WA.

Both parties continue to dig in deeper and West Coast will be the beneficiary.
question is who does colin manage?

So our pick 19 is now pick 23, not to mention the 5 academy/father sons to go in as well. Just wonderful AFL. Wonderful.
To be fair we knew the system going into this. All we needed to do was be proactive and do a pick swap early on with a Collingwood / Brisbane to avoid all the compensation bs pushing pick 19 back to 26+.

It's on our people for not doing that. All it would have taken was to get involved with the GC pick swaps and grab what was originally pick 17.

Normally, yeah that's about the worth for these guys. But given the lower quality of this draft past 12, I'd want much better picks than those for this year.

Duggan around 10
Yeo mid teens
Cole end of first round.

Slightly less exciting than Harley Reid... a possible late option:

Reece Torrent is a creative mid/forward prospect with penetrating left foot delivery. With other WA prospects like Collard and Zakostelsky bolting up draft boards Torrent has become a bit of a forgotten man, although his decent champs and solid Colts performances have given him an outside shot of being drafted.
