Hello Eagles fans!

The embedded resources below are kept up to date by the trade board mods (as much as possible – we are human after all). Enjoy!

Keys you may like to sticky this post & move it to the start of the thread (so the sticky post doesn't rotate if a post is deleted before it), or copy it to your draft thread if you have one.

We also need to give Allen some support and darling is really the only mature bodied forward that can do that.
You would think that BW will play a fair amount of minutes forward now we have another ruck. Maybe with Allen, BW and Maric, Darling isn’t as important as he was at the start of this year.

Royal Eagle v Eastern Ranger is a battle for the ages
Was looking 4wd to next instalment, but likely both asleep waving arms at the bedroom ceiling

Position aside Reid looks like a game winner and that's why I hope we take him.

Yep, there is no certainty with drafting, one can only give oneself the best shot at possible success. Just look Nakia Cockatoo - a former top 10 pick who has just quit the game after a paltry number of games. I remember on this board how much we were all wanting him, the hype was soaring on him. And now? Admittedly, injuries ruined him, but that can happen to any draft pick, a top 10 pick, no less so. But with Reid, we have the best shot at a gun as we will ever get. Just take Harley!

Interesting pick trade speculation if north are after pick 1.
North trade 14,19,40 for gold coasts pick 4,
North then on trade 2,4 and a future first for eagles pick 1,34 and a future 3rd

Nah ZZ played well in the championship when down back, then dominated wafl colts back end of season
He is a player that has all the tools physically gifted has flair and a bit of Glen Jakovich about his game

He is one i think can turn into a very good AFL footballer
What is he like defending and does he have an intercept game? I saw highlights of the Colts GF but none of that gave insight to his abilities as a KPD as it was all stoppage footage - winning ruck knocks and winning the ball at ground level - thanks to him playing in the ruck

Nakia was a high risk high reward type in his draft year. There is usually a few in the 10 to 20's range.

Reid is a very safe bet, i like how he performed at senior level

Only if they commit to not taking old mate from WA with their 3 (if they get it as compo)

I can see them moving up 3-4 spots next year, which might leave us with a top 2 pick, plus 5-6 as well.

Nah, **** it. Take Reid.

Second year Kid comes back to the training track late with minimum preseason, due to extenuating circumstances .....and looks slow and disposal a bit off....... Mum dies tragically and has the world on his shoulders emotionally.... body language is a bit off as the side keeps getting thumped.

Well FMD who would have thought that.
I am very happy to give Basso a free pass. The kid has had to jump enoumous hurdles.

That’s not happening

2, 4 and say 2024 pick 3 for 1, 34, and something in the 40s?

…lol, come on. We know it has to be a good offer but it won’t be anything in that realm

This is the thing tho. It doesn’t have to be a good offer. It needs to be a ridiculous offer, cos we hold all the cards. They’ll get desperate for sure. How desperate is the question.

The F1 likely to be their end of first round compo pick. With how compromised next year's draft is, could end up a pick in the late 20s.

So 2,4 & 25 for 1, 34 & 40s

Yuk.

And also. We r not facilitating the deal with sweetner return picks etc.

You want pick one.

2 4 25 and don't expect anything back. Still yuk.

The F1st would be one of the bonus end of 1st round priority picks, not their natural future 1st. So pick 20.

2, 4 plus 20 - 25 after the AFL hands out draft assistance to other clubs but not ours.

Ah. I’d probably still take it.

I guess we'll find out his 2km trial at the Combine soon enough but Caleb Windsor is your pick of wingers in this draft.View attachment 1822220

In terms of key defenders you're looking at Morris (can play both ends), Schoenmakers and Zakostelsky at pick 20.
full

The problem is that by this pick Curtin, O'Sullivan, McCabe and Murphy are all almost certainly off the board.

In terms of small defenders Hardeman or Roberts may still be available.

As for midfielders at about this selection, the best of the 2nd tier mids (being Wilson, Rogers, Windsor and Leake) will have already come off the board by pick 20.
So Charlie Edwards is likely the pick of the remaining mids.

It is possible that De Mattia may still be available, although on the balance of probabilities it seems unlikely.

Although George Stevens might be worth a look if you think his dominance with a big frame will translate to AFL level (while being noticeably slower outside of the contest).

Shoenmakers at 194cm moves more like a 186cm with a penetrating left foot and known to kick goals from half back. Jury still out with Morris for mine, kept a close eye on him as a forward at Geelong to replace our aging players. If he can run a sub 6.30 2km and a sub 3 sec in the 20 metre I’d be all over him. At 191cm he’s going to need some serious wheels playing at the next level. Stevens to me looks ready made, nice height and tough looking through the midfield, Jhye Clark type.
