may get torn to shreds here, but possible trades...

Colledge out - Giles in
Rosa out - Watts in (DW i know.. cue the heat)
2 x 2nd rounders out - 1st rounder in (for whoever needs it, or we just roll with the 2x2nd's)

FWIW, i think that the ceiling placed on Watts, but has clearly never been attained, will only ever be reached out of the Melbourne fish bowl and there aren't a lot of clubs that would take Rosa onboard due to age and respective ladder positions. IIRC Roos had a liking to him as a junior. Bit of leadership to help Jones and Vince out... While the skills and pace theme we are looking for, are there with Jack. If he can join in on our hunt; then happy days. If not, will still have be a better punt than Silvia as Rosa would have been depth anyways.

In;
Redden, Jetta, Watts, Giles
Out;
Selwood, Rosa, Colledge, Sinclair

The problem I see is that Melbourne would reject that trade and ask for more. IMO.

I wouldn't want him anyway. Would prefer to use Rosa to upgrade into the 20s, and either use that pick or try to snare Anderson when that BS proposed first round trade to North in the Carlisle bit doesn't happen.

I have to give the iPhone battery props doe, spretty good. HTC One's was terrible which is partly why I drunkenly smashed it :oops:

Saw a few Claremont games in 2012 and Gov did play that role. Role was more CHF then a run in the ruck. Provided he gets his body right, it is a role he does well but needs to be tested against the bigger and harder AFL ruckmen. In the Sharks v Tigers GF of 2012, he turned the game when he went head to head with Griffin. Not saying Griffin is AFL top drawer but that game Griffin looked AFL top drawer until Gov went for a negating spell on him.

Good point I was at that game and can vouch that the decision to move him into the ruck was a telling one , as until that move Griffin was owning Andrews and East Fremantle had the momentum. Whilst giving away both height and kgs "The Gov" outpointed Griffin in the strength department especially from the boundary throw ins.

I also remember that clash of three Eagles listed players Swift , Stevens and McGovern.
Koby Stevens EF put a good bump on Swift C and stunned him a little , a fleeting second latter McGovern cleaned up Stevens and put him on his arse.

The Gov is a handy pinch hitter in the ruck but he is just far too valuable to the team to risk him as a genuine ruckman.

How do Port value Ah Chee?
Don't know. But I think they could be desperate to get the deal done for Dixon, so if we got GC on board for Rosa, would that be enough leverage to prise ah Chee away?

It seems GC are wanting more than the one first round pick and ar looking to build a more straight laced professional culture. Rosa fits the bill.
