Imagine if we missed out on Lynch next year and didn't make a serious play for Schache this year. Would be a total disaster. Schache worth the risk at late first early second pick. Were screaming for a KPF and there's one for the taking and cheap and we do nothing.

Imagine if we sign Schache this year and then miss out on Lynch in 2018 because we've 1. wasted salary cap capacity, and/or 2. have already got Moore, Cox, Reid and Schache as KPF options, and/or 3. his much discussed personal issues mean he never attains the required standard for senior footy or is missing for large chanks of the season.

We're not that desperate for a KPF unless ultra cheap in terms of trade value and a low contract for minimal time.

Gosh this trade period is treacle slow across the board (not just us). Expected a deal or two this morning. Only 48 hours left and still only 8 trades/FA moves completed.

The AFL need to condense it down to 1 week this is ridiculous. Feel for Sarah Allen who has to give the trade update on the Pies website each day. Nothing to tell!

Why? So us fans get more immediate satisfaction? I'd rather our club have the appropriate time to ensure they can get the best deal for us, and not just because we as fans can't wait a couple of days.

Yeah been lot Quieter then last few Trade Periods but as Said before with next years draft rated as a Possible Super Draft Teams don't want to trade Future Picks.

Sarah Allan been telling other Club News instead of Ours

Which it is , is it not ? And we are desperate for KPP, someone stated early we may have one of the worst list as far as KPP's are concerned, We are not one of the worst we are the worst

I'd love to somehow get involved in the Weller trade with GCS/Freo, IF we could get Lynch and IF Fasolo wanted to leave.

Gee putting together a hypothetical three way trade that's equitable for all parties is hard work. Impossible, even.

Collingwood
In: T Lynch (from GCS), Pick 39 (from GCS)
Out: A Fasolo, Pick 6, 2018 First Round

Gold Coast
In: L Weller (from Freo), Pick 6 (from Coll), 2018 First Round (from Coll)
Out: T Lynch, Pick 21, Pick 39

Fremantle
In: A Fasolo (from Coll), Pick 21 (from GCS)
Out: L Weller

I feel like everyone gets shafted except for us. That's how it's supposed to happen, yeah?

Think the initial FA window closed on Sunday night Dave. Delisted FAs will become available later (after trade period I think!)

Checked you are Right so I guess it be Trade or Draft for Un-Signed Players

As I said, we're not that desperate. Way too much risk involved to be investing too heavily and I don't see the Bears doing any club a favour and offload him on the cheap. Would rather take a punt on a draftee or a Collins or Talia type who'll come really cheap.

The tail has to wag the dog...it’s the Australian way...

Fair enough, at least you are honest :D

Ha Ha!

In all seriousness the AFL won't reduce it due to the fact it keeps the competition relevant in the main stream media longer.

The trades themselves are secondary to the interest and conjecture that gets generated by the prolonged period.

I found it interesting the other day on Hutchy's podcast that he said that the level of interest drops away from fans once a deal is done. He reckons he could run trade radio for two weeks without any trades as no activity creates conjecture, rumours etc that everyone wants to pedal and listen to. The thrill of the chase is more exciting; once completed you drop away.

Fair and don't mind that either, If we take a naughton or balta at 6 and Fogarty , Cera or Coffield are still available i will be proper FILTHY
