I don't think Appleby is much better than Murray one on one if at all, Murray takes more risks offensively but when he's near his opponent he's good at shutting him down.

Susposely we have gone cold on lynch due to just not having the money for him according to one off the reporters on. Chanel 7 said he hearing lynch has agreed verbally to join the tigers and that this might have been decided early on in the year

Completely different types. If your talking small lock down defender then Appleby is definitely ahead. If your talking rebounding defender then it's Murray, but only marginally. Appleby also the better user of the footy. Appleby is only out of the side due to injury so clearly the selectors think he's ahead of Murray.

We are already shifting around the pieces on the playing list eg. Wells payout, in order to create space for Lynch. There is alot going on behind the scenes, and l think he is desperate to play for us next year.

The only reason Sier came to mind (as a defender), was his build and potential ability to match up against big-bodied forwards. This and the fact our midfield is over-flowing with talent already.

Until JDG started doing some frankly remarkable things forward of centre, for a guy with below average forward IQ, I thought Sier could be an option in the front half!

What is it about McLarty that has you keen for him to debut ATM? I must admit I’m more hesitant and believe we’ve missed our window until the Brisbane match.

What do you think we need I50? Given the pieces of the puzzle we already have I’d like us to try and find a J Riewoldt type that really competes in the air and on the ground, but is happy to sacrifice their game for the team. There aren’t many around though except perhaps C Moore, O’Brien and Membrey.
