At 26 if May was going to be reaching those heights I'd have assumed he'd be in that discussion now. I'm not sure he is.

Didn't even make the 40 man AA squad so that'd have him behind quite a few and there were a few others who didn't even make that squad like Talia, Davis, Tarrant, Hurley, and Astbury.

I think people are getting a little carried away about May.

Don't go after any mids this off-season.

As i dont particularly think Lynch is what we need (too expensive for a bloke who has been broken for 2 years), persure McGovern and May, they fit our list perfectly and won't break the bank.

While I fully agree that we should ignore mids this off season and focus on our weakness - KP players, Im puzzled why you and others are so keen on McGovern. McGovern isnt a genuine KP player. Yes he is a nice contested mark a decent player, but he is only 190cm, he is a medium. We have medium sized forwards who are good contested marks in abundance. To improve our forward line we need a genuine KPF; someone who is going to occupy the oppositions KPD, someone significantly better than Coxy or Mihocek who is going to hit the scoreboard regularly. McGovern isnt that player. For Adelaide he plays as a useful 3rd tall type, supporting Tex and Jenkins. He is hardly the 40 goal a year KPF we need.

Agree with the need for a hit up target. I was really happy earlier in the year when there was talk about us and the Adelaide Tom Lynch, but alas. From an internal perspective, I think Jaidyn may be the man for this next year, or even Murphy.

I reckon Mihocek is more than make-shift. Provides a really strong contest in the air when needed, plus also roves beautifully off Cox. I reckon he's become a crucial part of our forward line.
