Karen Corne : "Richmond are asking too much for their players"

Also Karen this morning on SEN : "Richmond have a good draft hand but they paid too much for it"

Just wow .... i don't know why im surprised ....
No way he actually said that

Good News - Positive post incoming....

Amongst the euphoria we are feeling with our killer draft hand this year, let's not forget the grounding that the following youngsters got this year - all of which showed good signs for the future:

Kane McAuliffe
Seth Campbell
Jacob Bauer
Mykelti Lefau (not so young)
Tom Brown
James Trezise
Sam Banks
Steely Green
Kaleb Smith
Jacob Blight (not so young)

Add in the injured

Josh Gibcus
Judson Clarke

And the unseen

Liam Fawcett

We may not win many games in 2025 but it will be so exciting each week watching the listed guys above, along with the 6 or 7 newbie's we bring in play across both the AFL and VFL.

its refreshing honestly. get to watch a new crop grow and learn. hopefully so growth in the coach too.

2010 was a long time ago. we could see the progress was this.

this time we've have a better senior core to build a young squad around.

Wat was it like jerking off in the mirror when you posted that
And then he posts his tweets in here, like a kid bringing home a painting from kinder.

"Yes, dear, that's lovely. Let's go put it on the fridge."

It’s going to be a long off season lads
I reckon. Nov. 22nd - 2025 trade week is nearly 11 months.

Here we go the middle child has a voice
I did laugh out loud, well done. You've certainly found your confidence lately.

In addition to those players we have quite a few players on the cusp… the cusp of what you say?

The cusp of becoming best 22 players (or even better) or the cusp of their AFL career at Richmond coming to an end.

The players on the cusp are those that have been in the system a few years and have racked up enough games to have experienced the variety of challenges the AFL poses.

Those players are:

Jack Ross
MRJ
HRS
Mansell
Miller
Koschitzke
Dow (if not delisted)
Cumberland (if not delisted)
Sonsie (although could fit in your group as well)
Young
Ryan

Banks, Gibcus, Clarke and Brown also fit into this group as 4th year players with around 20 games experience.

Campbell Gray could also be playing round 1 if he can continue his form pre-injury.

There’s a lot of unknowns with these two groups but I’m comfortable most players have shown they can at least contribute at the level. If we can get half of them up to AFL best 22 level and our draft goes well this year, our rebuild will be 2/3s complete.
