$850k should be on the table to his manager as we speak
According to AFL.COM.AU, Ollie Wines has put off contract negotiations until the end if next year.
Article actually says next year, not end of next year
If the Doggies can afford to pay Boyd 99.5% of their salary,Fair few could afford Ollie apart from us.If he decides to go, surely no one else would be able to offer anything close to what we should be able to ???

Melbourne(Always dips their toes in).
Hawks.(Maybe not as much at the start but success is always a huge carrot,Then once Hodge.Mitchell & Co retire).
Are the 2 main threats IMO.
I Didn,t actually(have now though). You read the article, well done.
Needs to be a special order with a large neck gto allow for that massive head. How good is Wines going to look in a Tigers jumper. Standing around the circle with Dusty and Cotch. Won't need a ruckman.
We can just use Hampson!
None. He grew up in country Victoria and barracked for Melbourne. What is the Wines / Richmond connection ?
He's the only free agent we need to sign, but there are a quite few others coming out of contractIs Tyrone the biggest name we have off contract next year ?
yes believe so! sign him up before the pies swoop...Is Tyrone the biggest name we have off contract next year ?
I'd say getting to a prelim should be enough to land a gun player, not necessarily win onei honestly dont think we'll land anyone unless we win a prelim
The fact he knows he will look great wearing our jumper. #photoshopwinesintigersjumperWhat is the Wines / Richmond connection ?
I don't think Port will be able to match what other clubs are offering though. I would happily throw $1m at him. He's the best young midfielder in the competition and oozes leadership. He's basically everything we need.I'd say getting to a prelim should be enough to land a gun player, not necessarily win one
Although if Port also make a prelim then maybe it will be a bit tougher to get Wines across

True, although with the expected salary cap rise from the new TV deal in 2017 they will still be able to offer a big deal. That's why success may come into it first. If he feels that they are on the verge of success at Port then he may be loyal and stay for less money.I don't think Port will be able to match what other clubs are offering though.
