You can't kick goals when you're unconscious.
What is the hold up with Cerra nominating? He's not Le Bron! Get on with it.

The Papley debacle might be relevant.

I cannot think of a deal for someone like Saad, with his age and position played being taken into consideration, ever being so rich. We overpaid and I don't think we really needed to.
It doesn't mean we cannot be happy with having Saad on our list, but I think Austin could have done much better for us.
I am a huge fan of Saad, but wasn't thrilled with what we paid for him. I think we blinked when we didn't have to. BUT I do have a question for the BF board, who mostly think we got our pants pulled down....
What would you have wanted (and expected) to get for Docherty if he was traded two years ago (pre knees/cancer)?
I know they aren't the exact same player, but ballpark same level, age, experience, position.... And I think most of us would have would have thought anything less than a top 10 pick (in a highly compromised draft) would be insufficient compensation...
Re: Cera, I think we need to think outside the box, rather than going straight to pick 6.
I would try something like Cera for McGovern with maybe something late pick wise being exchanged.
For mine Gov is an old fashion leading (Mark and Kick) forward, that was never going to thrive with the "Kick it on Harry's head and rove the crumb" style of game plan. Freo lack a reliable source of 2 -3 goals a game and I'm confident that if he was played out of the square as a leading forward, he could be that guy.
The impact to each team's salary cap, would be negligible and could be a win / win deal for both clubs. Freo could sell the WA star forward comes home, and we would be happy with the improvement in our midfield depth.
Alternately we could see if Fish or Samo are keen. We built a list of good young players but we seem to refuse to trade any of them, even though we can't play them all in their preferred positions, and without gametime they can't develop. We have to think of our list more like GWS, Geelong or Richmond and use our surplus to fill gaps, while staying in the draft to get the next Walsh or best available as future trade capital.
Anyway just my 2cents

Ladhams will be next
Yeap

Bare with me this is a possible trade scenario along the lines of GCS with very little list spots to work with this year, so if they would like to invest into a future first round next year…
It’s a chance for us to cover all basis with the Cerra trade, gaining back a first rounder from the Dogs along with a swap of future picks with the Dogs, as well as well as strengthening our draft hand this year…
This entire trade helps GCS gaining a good future first pick if they choose for a bunch of 2nd-4th round picks, which helps us gaining a host of points that can help both us and Dogs with favourable outcomes to strengthen our draft hands…

SPS pick has been upgraded to an late first early second, we have upgraded to three good draft picks, have maintained a good hand for next year with any future rounds can be used for trading in players for this year…
Well maybe not completely like this but something close would be a bloody good result…
Officially nominated us!
Welcome Cerra!
Normally good to look over when having a couple of drinks seems to lighten the brain aches…No .. it made my brain hurt, I am quite sure what you posted was entirely feasible .. but my brain went ... Its Wednesday FFS lol

Not sure why SPS has to go to the Eagles. Surely the club should be able to talk him round to being involved in the Cerra dealPick 6 starting or ending point. I feel pick 6 should be enough but who am I. Happy Cerra nominated Carlton.
Well if they value Clark at pick 19 and we also give them pick 22 then combined it values Cerra at pick 5 points wise. I agree it feels like a little bit below what they'd want so adding in a 4th rounder could work.No where near enough value for Cerra there from a Freo perspective.
They'll likely throw a tantrum and threaten to trade Cerra to Melbourne if we split pick #6. They'll want one of the WA KPPs
