It will take for Richmond to re-locate to SydneyI'd wander over to Gulden's manager with large bags denoted with dollar signs filled with money and simply ask "what will it take?"

He won’t leave however Someone else will as they cave in to contract $$$$$$ demandsI'd wander over to Gulden's manager with large bags denoted with dollar signs filled with money and simply ask "what will it take?"
Wow, so you are a drama queen too. For Christ sake people, have some faith in Blair Hartley and what he’s trying to do. He and the recruiters have been trying to build for the future with a very limited draft hand to date. It’s the price for being so successful. Yep, gave up a bit to get Taranto and Hopper but can understand the reasoning behind that, we needed contested ball winning mids.I'm one who wants a cull, but I also have a group of 12-15 older players that should be retained where possible, to give us that experience core the kids can be played alongside to ensure that we remain competitive on the field and not become the next WCE/North.
Martin
Pickett*
Naismith*
Lynch
Broad
Vlastuin
Nankervis
Short
Hopper
D.Rioli
Baker
Taranto
Graham
Bolton
Balta
Of that group, Martin has a decision to make, stay with us, head elsewhere or retire. Graham is a free agent who has put off talks and Baker & Broad could be headed back to WA given reports both have either purchased or are building homes in WA.
* - Pickett is in that group, but it depends on his court case and how that progresses. Naismith is another that is part of it, depending on how Ryan develops this year as well as Naismiths body.
That means that Grimes Prestia & McIntosh are the older ones that I would be cutting, while we could also lose 1 or more of Martin Broad Baker or Graham. So it could be up to 7 experience players that move on this year.
How am I a drama queen? I've said that I'd cut Grimes Prestia and McIntosh and we may lose some of Martin Graham Baker & Broad if they decide to look elsewhere or in Martins case simply retire. I'm also well aware that we've got a great draft hand to hit the draft with this year, which I hope we do and bring in at least 4 if not more top 30 picks once again.Wow, so you are a drama queen too. He and Clarke have engineered the draft to get a decent hand this year, and I’m hoping we hit the draft hard this year and manoeuvre our picks to get a number of first round selections. And, he will be be very aware of the intentions of Dusty, Broad, Baker, Graham etc, you think he doesn’t talk to players and their Agents?
The number of hindsight posters on here in respect of past drafting and trading is just unbelievable. EVERYTHING IN LIFE IS EASY WITH HINDSIGHT.
I’m content with where we are at after winning 3 flags in 4 years. Plenty of promising young players that have had to bide their time while the premiership players fill their roles. Some will make it, some won’t but I’m very confident that we have the bones of a decent side but need some high end talent. And with the draft hand we have this year, we can add some of those missing elements.
Sorry RT, was a bit harsh. Just getting annoyed by the lack of faith in Hartley and the recruiters. The impatience after winning 3 flags in 4 years, and just expecting us to continue on in that vein is just so unrealistic. As is the notion that we can be 100% correct in drafting and trading. We are so much better placed than Hawthorn and Brisbane after their dynasty sides that it’s not funny. How am I a drama queen? As far as the kids that we currently have are concerned, I'm hoping that Yze has a good look at all of them before making any decisions regarding who stays or goes. As it stands I'm not putting a line through any of them at this stage of the season. In fact I'm about as far away from a drama queen as there is when it comes to understanding where the list is at, and what we're going through this year.

IMO there will be a big broom going through the club this year. We've already seen it starting with various off-field staff moving on or rumored to be moving on and I expect there will be more after the actual season finishes. Add to that the inevitable list changes that will happen and the club will look very different heading into 2025, which is very much needed given Yzes mantra of "If you get stuck in the past, you die in the present".With the coaching and footy department changes I see this year kinda like a stocktake
The club will assess what we have, need and want and make the appropriate calls towards the end of the year in terms of re contracting anyway
The only ones that I hope the club get in early right now are Trezise, Campbell and Ross
Add Baker, Broad, Martin as potential OUTs. Plus delisting of Dow, Hugo et al.I’m not sure too many people are advocating a ‘cull’ of any quantity senior players.
My thoughts are we simply need to move on ASAP from ‘average’ players not part of our next flag push … this might include some previously excellent players who are passed their best :
IMO delist or encourage into retirement : Macca, Pickett, Prestia, Grimes. Then look to trade Graham / let him leave as FA - I’ve been waiting for him to take the next step as a player and it’s just never happened … he’s 27yo next year!
These guys no longer provide on-field value beyond what we’d get from our youngsters. If they are still on the list next year how do we keep giving opportunity to youngsters?
We can’t afford to go into 2025 as the 7-8th oldest lists as we are in 2024. Even if we move on those players above we will still have 12 x 100-game players on our list, so it’s nothing at all similar to the ‘Kanga cull’.

Hard as in Bolton?Don’t think it will be a wholesale clean out but wouldn’t be shocked if we go pretty hard
If he wasn’t locked down in a long term contract I would absolutely say Bolton but since he is signed until 2028 unless Bolton wants to leave he isn’t going anywhereHard as in Bolton?
That would be ballsy but if it means by the end of the trade period we have 3 top 10 picks i'd do it.
Why? he's only 25 and better than the majority of where top 10 picks end up.Hard as in Bolton?

Motivation-2 flags
Consistency-In & out of the game.No middle ground.
Like I said it's a ballsy move but the big one for me is the Motivation factor.
So he's not available next weekend then?TOP PROSPECTS

“He’s a super exciting player, he’s a really good tall with great potential. Unfortunately he’s injured at the minute… we’re sitting and waiting on some more some more medical details on Jonty, but it looks like he’s going to miss a block of footy to start the year which is disappointing for him. But he’s a great prospect at 195cm and a really good athlete. He’s an exciting player.”
Got a great set of hands ... plucks them out of the sky like Lynch
Far too soft. Have a number of Hawks supporting mates and they say the same about him as we have, lazy asMabior Chol would be handy about now
