Rioli and F2 to Suns for 6 & 11.
Baker to Freo for pick 12.
Later picks to Lions for pick 17.

6 & 11 to Norf for pick 3.

Pick #1 Draper
#3 Jagga/FOS/Lalor
#12 Armstrong
#21 Faull/Whitlock/Whitlock/Shanahan
Interesting list.

Would you rather pick 11 from GC or keep F1 & get pick 20. Think I prefer the latter. Either would be a brilliant deal for us.
If we did go the pick 11 option, is it really worth giving it up to get 6 up to 3? Assuming Smillie goes 2 in your scenario (WC maybe go the VC kid in FOS), you're getting one of those 3 or Trainor anyway. A lot to play out with GC pick, they need to lose to us or WC to get to pick 6. I think they end up around pick 8 or 9.

I'd be ecstatic if Baker chose the Dockers & they gave us the 2nd best 1st. As it stands I think its going to be the Eagles & they have their 2nd & F2.

Pick 17 vanished in your scenario. If available I think it's the perfect pick (given its a 1st we've created out of magic beans) to take a punt on Hotton's knee.

There is no way known I would trade picks 6 & 11 for pick 3. This is a draft whereby picks 6 and 11 could very well get a better player given the evenness of this draft.

Yeah I meant 17 instead of 21, my mistake.

I want 2 of the absolute elite end midfielders so I'd be happy giving up 6 and 11 for 3, assuming we still have another couple of picks inside 25 for KPFs.

Eagles will find us a decent pick if Baker chooses to go there.

Club is going to play it safe, aren't we?

We are going to move a few late picks to get probably Brisbane's 1st rounder (end up with pick 18)

We will have picks 1,18,21,34,39

Then watch some other team do a massive deal with Gold Coast and grab their 2 first rounders while we re-sign Baker, keep Rioli & Bolton.
The only way to get both of Gold Coast's first rounders will be to give them a future first for one of them and a high-quality player for the other. One of their firsts is being traded into next year, count on it.

I'd also consider shifting Short forward for some leadership/experience there.
Wot.

It's just a bonus. He's ready to go and already dominating SANFL seniors.
I wouldn't say he's dominating. He's playing well and putting up good numbers. But he's not tearing games apart or anything like it.

And it is only the SANFL.

I’m probably going against the grain here, and I love the depth of talent in this draft, but I’m not forcing Rioli or Shai out unless the offer is too good to refuse; which if I’m honest not sure it will be.
100%. Would have to be a great offer. Maybe you get 7 and 20 from Gold Coast for Daniel. We'll probably get two early second-rounders for Baker if he chooses West Coast, or one late first if it's Freo.

If Freo wants Shai - and they should - they can pay the **** up. All three of their firsts is the starting point. They can upgrade our 2025 second-rounder to their first as well.

I hope we do to be honest.

This year seems like the year to do it.

especially if we can gain a top 5 pick
and a second pick between 5 and 12
Not just at you as there are several saying split it, but with who? If the draft is so even, why would anyone give up two picks for one?

Ive just gone through a few package highlights of Draper again. Cant wait for the combine testing. This kid is very fast and those first few steps are mad. His skills are elite too.` My new number 1
His kicking is just decent.

Jaggas body type remind me more of cotch
No. Cotch was always a ball of power.

Yze will prioritise elite kicking.
Who ever is the best kick out of the top ranked players will be our choise IMO.
That's FOS or Lalor (or Smillie), with a side of Lindsay or Langford possibly at our second pick.

I've seen the SA testing before. From memory he was sub 3 sec and agility he was sub 8 seconds.

His skills are decent, don't think they're elite though.

I was of the opinion that we should keep pick one and our better players. however, I now think we should do everything possible to get as many top 25 picks also. Trade it and players for as many top picks as possible.
I’m thinking other clubs may be thinking the same. It might be a hard pick to split.

Perhaps Adelaide if they are hell bent on the local fella.

this year will be the hardest to get multiple picks inside the top 20.

It's the worst year to have to pick 1.. could trade it for a top 10 pick and a future first from let's say the Crows?

I personally think Josh Smillie will be the best of the draft. If we pick him and another player ends up being better by a long shot then I will say tough **** but if it was the other way around ill be pissed

Very torn. That will net us a good haul of players tbh and we get to keep our players (though I think Baker is definitely gone)

Trading will set up not only this draft but multiple drafts. Probably 3 or 4 bites at the cherry next year plus Kellaway and a couple the year after plus Armstrong and Leys.

I haven't done the numbers for getting the Brisbane pick but would be great to keep those 2 picks.

The hard part to know is if Toce is any good because if he isn't then we are ****ed 😂😂
Bare minimum for me is Baker and Graham.
Baker Graham and Martin would be nice.
Baker Graham Rioli Martin Kmac would be great.

2.94seconds for 20m
7.80seconds agility
Top few in endurance

These are as a bottom ager.

The awful conditions didn't much bother Travaglia who seemed to enjoy sliding around and crashing into people in the mud. His nine tackles were a standout, but perhaps more impressive was his ability to hit the scoreboard and convert with a slippery footy. Unfortunately, not enough of his teammates followed his example, and Bendigo suffered a heavy loss.

Unless he wants out from WC.
I think it was reported Melbourne where looking at Houston and Port want a couple of first rounders.

I can see a number of clubs looking for ready made players for draft picks.

There is talent in the draft but nothing totally ticked off as rock solid superstar.

It is interesting because the likes of RFC are in a rare point fo difference position where they can trade to get into the dradt and higher up to draft talent other clubs more in contention would find it a little more risky. RFC, as opposed to other clubs could reduce the risk by drafting multiple players in because when they all come through as a collective it is a extra gain in terms of our upside and development in the years ahead.

On top of that at least 13 clubs where in it this year and Adelaide are on the up as well as the Saints with North likely to improve as well so a lot will be looking at the now

I also think the nature of the composition of this years draft mix means other clubs might want later picks given the depth and where they are at, not unhappy about a later more speculative option, meaning RFC can get more bang for buck looking to go to the pointer end of the draft at times

Big no to trading next years first, should be off the table.

Accepting Baker is gone, I think I've landed in the trade Daniel and keep Bolton camp. If you end up with 3 first rounders inside 15 for those 2 I think we are very well placed. Not sure I would trade all 3 but I think we need to be bold and we will get overs for Daniel, as has been stated HBF is a position that can be filled easier than others.

Something like Draper, Lalor, Armstong and Lindsay is a cracking start to a rebuild, plus a few other picks inside 35.
