Now Foley is a player we should be up in arms about losing, if it does eventuate. I don't see value in pick 11 in two years time in exchange for Foley now.

Any more ideas on what this huge play is?

I do. I was mentioning this earlier as a posiblity as if the stars are aligned. Certainly , Geelong would be crazy not to do it because it is their last hurrah and with a modified gameplan they have too much talent not to be out of the picture.

Pick 11 means more to Richmond than Geelong due to where our list is at.

Both clubs would be crazy not to pursue it and the Tigers could add something to spice it up even if we assisted Geelong getting players from other clubs.

It is too important for Geelong and Richmond not to make it happen I think!

Simpkin a 191cm full back. Did quite well in the VFL actually.

Hinkley is super quick. Not sure what else.

DT do you know what essendon offered us for cotch?

There is some bad blood between the tigers and bombers, they approached tambling wen contracted and then rang cotchins manager knowing full well he is contracted. Other clubs are really pissed of at the bombers having no regard for contracts.

Richmond has told them cotch jack Martin and lids are untouchable laughed wen they offerred houli and a 2 nd rounder.

Richmond have blind sided them and have impressed all at the trade week, the feeling is that the sleeping giant is awakening as our offield administration is first class.

Gale = Greame Richmond
Hardwick = Tom Hafey

The rumour about Jacobs is false a deal will be struck tomorrow, if it first then we might have a chance but there has been no under hand tactics on our behalf, we do have a target in the psd.

Nathan foley is still a chance to be traded but only for the right deal.

We have our eye on a outside midfielder from interstate don't know who though, expect a player swap. Maybe Rance for hinkly, shuey or smith.

Hill is still chance but there has to be a couple of things to come off, nahas is in the mix and saints have enquired also s straight swap for rookie Tom simpkin has been mentioned.

Foley is a chance to go still we want another pick inside the top 20.

Houli for our 3rd pick is looking likely.

Expect the unexpected tomorrow, we have positioned ourselves to capitilize on any opportunies that arise out of last minute deals. But only if they suit us.

Finally we have made enquiries on sydneys jess white and lewis Johnson but who knows how far that will go.

Expect the lions to do a deal now that there salary cap has eased, they have room for a realistically paid player.

Do u know who were targetting in the psd dt

Very fair point, i'll give you that.....aahh well maybe I can give you some tips on how to survive the next 30 years without winning a flag....

Recieved a yellow card on the essendon board for the above comment....they were having a go at us not winning a flag for 30 years.....how delicate are they....

Genuine lol... Well worth a yellow card me thinks :D:D

Would want to be a bloody good one but I'm not against it if it is.

We'd be dreaming about Shuey. Dunno anything about Hinkley but I'd do Rance for Smith.

I liked the look of Simpkin. Happy to get rid of Nahas for anything.

I'd want one inside 15.

Where are those Bummer fans?

It will be interesting to see if anything happens or it all just fizzles out.

I have an idea but let's see how tomorrow pans out.

One thing is for sure Brisbane has thrown a spanner in the works with getting pick 5, Heppel looks like there target, Josh caddy looks like he has impressed our recruiters at the combine and looks very likely to be picked up by us if heppel is gone.

I heard a similar rumour from a very good source this morning actually.

I still wouldn't be sure it will get done though...mid round compo (pick 11) is fair but you guys will probably (rightly) baulk at a pick you can't use for 2 years (blame the AFL for structuring the rules that way for use of compo picks).

The problem is the first round pick is too valuable to us (because it's dependant on ladder position) that we don't want to trade it because if we play the kids in 2 or 3 years it could be pick 3 (and we all saw how well you did when you had pick 3!)...contrary to reports, while we are still considering trading for a 1st round pick this year, we are only considering trading the mid round pick...the first round pick has never been on the table with GC.

I said all this 5 days or so ago.

It makes sense. Geelong and the Tigers would be idiots not to do it. If Richmond proves to be the stumbling block and do not take the compo(pick 10 or 11 for 2012) they(Richmond) are the ultimate fools like my father who could never be convinced to sell his Telstra shares.

I would even give Geelong a sweetner to get it done .

For Richmond, Richmond alone due to were our list is at the compo picks are dynamite to the good. For other clubs such as Geelong it does not mean as much. Your right about Geelongs other compo or first round pick which could be pick 3 in 4 years or whatever. Like Essendon wooing Cotch and Tigers are no chance of getting this pick and it wouldn't mean as much in our hands anyway as in 4 years Richmond will be above Geelong I would imagine!!

Shuey is no chance you'd think.

If we're talking about Ashley Smith, I rate him. Has a good kick on him.

10...

Unless we have massive question marks over his body. Too important otherwise.

THIS!! He is contracted and has only just turned 25. He is our Vice Captain and was put in early last season for surgery in anticipation for 2011. I am 90% confident he will be a Tiger come 2pm Monday.

Anything less than a top 10 pick is stupid even to consider... Why would we trade out one of our premier mids who is about to peak for an 18yo mid who will take 2-3 years to develop??
